Thank you to my husband and son for carrying in to the studio our new sofa prop for upcoming sessions. Can’t wait to see what portraits we will create with this tiny but mighty sofa

You cropped yourself out of the family photo.
You said, "I'll take it," so you didn't have to be in it.
You've got a camera roll full of everyone else and hardly any of yourself.

Sound familiar?

There are real reasons women avoid being photographed, and most of them have nothing to do with how you look.

I wrote a free guide all about it:

"The 7 Reasons Women Avoid Being Photographed (And What They're Really Afraid Of)"

Comment GUIDE below and I'll send it right to you.

Happy Monday, friends!

After two weeks away, I'm back in the studio and excited for what's ahead.

I have a few openings available over the next several weeks for portrait sessions, and I'm also working on some new projects, resources, and content that I can't wait to share with you.

Whether you've been thinking about updating your headshot, celebrating a milestone, documenting this season of life, or simply stepping in front of the camera for yourself, I'd love to help you tell your story.

Stay tuned. I'll be sharing more portrait sessions, photography tips, and resources for women who want to feel more confident and comfortable being photographed.

I'm glad to be back. What have you been up to this summer?

She drove an hour and a half to be seen.

Cindy came with her sister by her side, and she came ready.

A breast cancer survivor. A woman who has experienced more loss than any person should ever have to carry. Yet she walked into the studio full of grace, laughter, and a love for life that filled the room.

We laughed together. We cried together. Somewhere in between, we created something beautiful.

For her 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience, we built everything around her story. Part of that story lives on her skin. Her sleeve tattoos were designed to honor the things she loves most, including the husband she carries with her every day.

She wanted them in the frame.
We made sure of that.

Her full story will be featured in my upcoming magazine, and I cannot wait for you to read it.

But these images?
I’m still not ready to put them down.

More coming soon.

Over the weekend, I found a new stool for the studio so I just had to rest it out this morning.
