As we step into Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m excited to introduce a project that is deeply meaningful to me: Historias Vivas.
Historias Vivas is a publication dedicated to documenting and honoring the stories of immigrants, blue-collar workers, caregivers, builders, creators, and the people whose labor and resilience help sustain our communities.
As an immigrant myself, I understand that behind every journey is a story, one of sacrifice, courage, culture, resilience, and hope.
Too often, the people behind the work are reduced to stereotypes or statistics. Historias Vivas exists to create space for their voices, experiences, and contributions to be seen, heard, and remembered.
Through authentic storytelling and visual documentation, this project will honor the dignity of work and the humanity behind every story.
We are the voices behind the work that keeps society moving.
As we celebrate Hispanic heritage, I look forward to sharing the stories that remind us where we come from, what we carry with us, and the contributions we continue to make.
