Lynn Michelle Photography We shoot fabulous people. (Mostly in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, but also worldwide) Hi! I have a nifty diploma hanging in my office to prove it; a nice bonus.

I’m Lynn Michelle and I’m one of those people you can’t really sum up in words - I think I might actually require a sound. And now just a little about me, because I am kind of nutty in a good way ...

As a certified professional photographer (CPP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) specializing in wedding and bo***ir photography, I am officially recognized by my peers for my commitment to quality, consistency and photographic excellence. I also have a computer science degree, which I use extensively to build my own computers and solve complicated Tetris puzzles. I have also been honored to be the recipient of The Knot's Best of Weddings Award and WeddingWire's Bride's Choice Award, recognized by my clients for my commitment to customer service. And my 20 minutes of fame? Well, I've been on the local NBC news as well as the nationally broadcast Today Show for my Trash the Dress images. I'm "as seen on tv", literally. However, my most important role is as a founding member of The Photography Clique, a group of respected photographers on a mission to educate and advance the photography industry – with a master goal of putting an end to all bad photography stories. I am also an active member of some wonderful photographic organizations including the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Wedding Guild of Fort Worth (PWG) and Modern Photographers because I truly believe in giving back to my profession. If you have gotten this far, don't miss the most important part: I have the most amazing opportunity to shoot fabulous people.

It's still 90 degrees out but it's time to talk about family portraits sessions. You know how this goes, I'll bring the camera and the questionable jokes and I'll try really hard to not say bad words for a whole 30 minutes or so.

A few remaining spots:

November 7 @ 3:00 PM : Rustic Barn, Plano, TX

November 21 @ 3:30 & 4:00 PM : Grapevine Lake

December 12 @ 2:30 PM : Dallas Studio with holiday decor (indoors)

Kids? Sure.
Dogs? Absolutely.
Husbands who are drama? Leave them at home, I'll use photoshop.

Rene & Hugo, engagements | Dallas Arboretum

There’s no greater joy than having one of your closest friends, your favorite Hernandez, and an amazing photographer in his own right ask you to photograph his engagement pictures.

Getting to capture this chapter for someone I’ve known for so long made this session just a little extra special. And seeing him this happy? Icing on the cake.

Would highly recommend watching your favorite Hernandez get married.

Grace, Senior | AT&T Performing Arts Center

Grace walks to the beat of her own drum which, in her case, is not just a figure of speech. She has that rare kind of cool that never feels like she’s trying too hard. She's completely herself: soft spoken with an unshakable confidence, known to slip in a funny comment under her breath. She makes everything look effortless.

She's at OSU now kicking butt in America's brightest orange.

Update | new Lynn Michelle Photography 2nd shooter

He’s three, already has the camera-to-face technique down, and his availability is currently wide open. As a bonus he screams, “LOOK AT THE PICTURE!” after every shot, so client engagement is strong.

Personal | To do lists.

I look down and see the word SOCIALS!!!! yelling at me from my to-do list. I have even added a couple exclamation points over the past couple of weeks to really rub it in.

Consider this your reminder to make time for that one thing on your list you've been putting off. I say this as someone who has had a roll of film from my aunt’s camera squatting in my desk drawer since 2013. The kids in those photos are now 22.

Do as I say, not as I do do do do ...

Stacey & Justin, Portraits | Private Home in Sulphur Bluff, Texas

Stacey: “There’s this really great tree we can take pictures under.”

Me, out loud: “Yay, a tree!”
Me, internally: Great, another tree.

Me, 30 seconds later: “WAIT. EVERYBODY HEAD TO THE TREE. THIS TREE IS AMAZING.”

My sincerest apologies to Stacey and to treest of trees.

Stacey & Justin, Ceremony | Private Home in Sulphur Bluff, Texas

Rain may have been the initial topic of conversation, but the second Stacey walked down the aisle, no one was thinking about the weather anymore.

Stacey & Justin | Private Home in Sulphur Bluff, Texas

I can’t remember if I asked nicely or just said, “trust me.” What I do know is that I led Stacey and Justin out to the long patch of road outside and talked Justin's nephew into directing traffic away from them. It had been a long morning of torrential rain and when I saw the tiniest break in the weather, I decided we were taking it.

That beautiful East Texas sky, well, she did her thing. I was rewarded with a rainbowm sine Justin tears AND a little dance from the nephew (not pictured, but it happened).
