“When should I schedule my newborn session?”
I get this question so often..

The best time to reach out is once you’re through your first trimester, typically early in your second. It might feel early, but getting on the calendar ahead of time means one less thing to think about as you get closer to baby—and my schedule does tend to fill quickly.

Your newborn session will typically take place within the first 1–3 weeks after birth, when your baby is still so tiny and new. If something comes up, we can always plan for a slightly later, more relaxed timing too.

Those early days are full in every sense, which is why I guide you through all of the details ahead of time so you don’t have to carry it. We’ll plan wardrobe together before your session, and you’ll have access to my client closet so you’re not trying to shop or try things on postpartum. When you arrive, everything is already prepared, steamed, and ready for you.

My goal is for you to feel taken care of. There are snacks and drinks waiting, a comfortable space for dad and siblings, and a calm, simple environment where you can just settle in with your baby.

I take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month so I can truly give each family the time and attention they deserve, which is why planning ahead makes all the difference.

Digital files are not enough… there, I said it.

Somewhere along the way, this industry shifted.
Digital became the norm.
Quick, convenient, delivered, done.
It became the fast food of photography.

And if I’m being honest, I settled there for a season.
But I never really felt aligned with it.

Because this was never just about handing over images to me. It’s about how I can serve you.

I’ve always known there was a better way to care for the mothers and families who trust me with their memories.
