I know most of you aren't big Argosy fans and don't consider it a true old-school cabover. That's fine, but I drive one every day, and to me it's a truck worth talking about. The Argosy in this picture is quite a bit newer than mine. It belongs to a company out of Saskatchewan, and I've run into this rig several times over the years.
I like it. In fact, there are a few features on this truck that I'd gladly steal for my own Argosy!

I've posted plenty of times that the Kenworth K100 Aerodyne is my favorite cabover.
Well, the one I ran across today on I-44 in Missouri just raised the bar. She was wearing Georgia plates and looking absolutely stunning. I've seen some beautiful K100s before, but this old girl was something special.

A few years ago, I noticed this Freightliner was up for sale. Curious, I asked him why he was letting her go. He was already in his 70s at the time and just shrugged and said, "My wife says it's time to quit."
Fair enough, I thought. After all, most of us eventually park it for good.
But here we are, years later, and I still see him out on the road behind the wheel of that same old Freightliner.
Makes me smile every time. Hopefully his wife is doing well, and maybe she realized that trucking isn't just a job for some folks—it's who they are. Some drivers never really retire. They just keep rolling.
