the day before makenna & tobin's wedding day, they invited me over to their airbnb to capture their little family before all the excitement of wedding day. with unexpected weather, we weren't sure how the session would go, but we were blessed with just some sprinkle rain. this made for the perfect, imperfect session for their family. a session where the kids could simply be kids and play with their parents in the rain. truly a favorite session!!

the film photos from this session have so much emotion and feeling that I just fall in love with them even more, each time I see them!

IT'S WEDDING WEEKEND FOR ASHLEY & DREW!!!

wow, time has truly flown since their engagement session in february, and now it's the last weekend of august! when planning their engagement session, ashley had an exact vision of what she wanted - farm land, picnic blanket, and a sunset canoe ride! we definitely checked all the boxes for her vision, but what was more important was the deeper meaning behind all of these things. they are a couple that loves the outdoors, spends as much time as possible on the river boating, gardening, and just laughing together. all this inspiration/vision was just a way to make them feel more comfortable being themselves in front of the camera! and let's just say the pictures came out GORGEOUS!!

cannot wait to celebrate y'all and your families tonight and tomorrow! LET'S GET Y'ALL MARRIED!!

an intimate, poolside rehearsal dinner for john & bethany!

the perfect part of a wedding weekend to simply enjoy getting to spend quality time with your family before the wedding day! wedding days tend to be all over the place with greeting people, quickly saying hi or giving a hug, and not truly catching up with all your loved ones. wedding days make it almost impossible to say hi and thank you to all those who came to celebrate you. trust me, they know that you, as the bride, are all over the place! but, the rehearsal dinner is the perfect time to catch up, share your gratitude, and truly hug all your loved ones a little bit tighter before the big day!

a mix of 35 mm & 120 mm film from isabelle & jake's wedding day back in may!!

the perfect compliment to their gorgeous spring wedding day. the second photo was taken immediately after the ceremony in the blazing sun. look at all the excitement in their smiles that they just said "i do" and now get to party with their family and friends. these are the moments that are worth so much more on film. a snapshot in time that truly lasts forever!

bringing back Grace & Matt's gorgeous spring wedding day!!

the first day of march couldn't have been more perfect for these two to get married. everything from the weather to the venue and all the people that made their day so special. my favorite moment from their day was all the emotions when they were walking back down that aisle and heading outside to have a moment of celebration with each other before starting photos! I mean, just look at their smiles in the second photo :))
