It has been a while since I’ve posted anything here on Cory Lamb Photography, so I wanted to share a little life update.
Over the past four years, I’ve had to take a step back from photography to focus on what mattered most—my family.
As many of you know, Kevin was involved in a serious car accident that left him with a broken hip and a long recovery. At the same time, we were navigating unexplained seizures that had begun a couple of years before the accident. Last year alone, he underwent three brain surgeries in just nine weeks. While we’re still searching for answers and the seizures haven’t completely gone away, we’ve made it through more than I ever imagined we would.
Life didn’t stop while all of that was happening. Our youngest daughter, who was in sixth grade when this journey began, has now graduated from high school. Another daughter graduated from college and started her very first “big girl” job—her dream coaching position. And our oldest daughter got married, giving us one of the happiest days our family has ever celebrated.
Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much life has changed in just a few short years.
After putting my passion on hold for my family, I’m finally ready to jump back in with both feet.
Over the next few months, I’ll be rebuilding my portfolio, trying new ideas, meeting new families, and rediscovering everything I love about photography.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and prayed for our family over the years. It has meant more than you’ll ever know.
Here’s to new beginnings. I can’t wait to be back behind the camera, and I’d love nothing more than to see so many familiar faces in front of my camera again this fall. If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, capturing your little ones as they grow, or simply making memories together, I would be honored to tell your story.
I hope to see you this FALL!!
