Maroon Lake, Maroon Bells Wilderness, Aspen, Colorado

We have been wanting to book a cam site at Maroon Bells for years, My wife finally was able to this June and we camped at Silver Bells. I retired a few years ago and have been doing nature and wildlife photography, so the sunrise at Maroon Lake was on my wishlist. We got up at 5AM and walked up tot he late to pick a location for the reflection of the mountain on the lake. I took several photos as the sun rose up on the lake, waiting for the best reflection.

Not really. I just live really close and try to pay attention to the cloud system and ran over really fast to the dock, which is 30seconds away, to capture the photo. I usually take the shot and run to the other side of the lake to see the clouds with Pikes Peak, but this kept me there to enjoy the beauty of it. This view is looking southeast. :)
