When I deliver a gallery, I don’t always know which image will become *the* image….

The one that’s framed and passed down.
The one someone reaches for years from now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For this family, I have a feeling I know.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The little hand reaching for reassurance.
The way your baby fits in your arms.
The personality that sneaks through when everyone stops trying so hard.

After years of sitting with families as they choose the images they want printed, framed, and passed down - I’ve learned something:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The favorites usually aren’t the ones created for everyone else to see.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They’re the ones that feel like home.

People always tell us we’re great with kids, and there’s something you should know…

It’s not accidental
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At NBP, we’ve spent years working with children of all ages - and a lot of thought goes into how we approach sessions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ve intentionally studied child psychology.
We know when a toddler needs a break.
When to pivot instead of push.
When to bring out the bribes.
When to keep the energy high with silly noises and games.
And when the absolute best thing we can do is simply let kids be kids.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A lot of family photography has very little to do with the camera and everything to do with reading the room.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And for the moments where everyone has done their absolute best but chaos abounds…
