Everyone meet Molly Piper, Hutchinson Class of 2027. I'm getting a bit nostalgic over here because I photographed MP when she was just a BABY. I really don't know how she is a SENIOR in high school already. I tell the parents that their kiddos grow up, but we adults simply do not age :).

I'm so proud of MP, and I know she is going to excel in college and life! Y'all leave her some love!

Have you stepped outside today? It's 61 degrees and it FEELS LIKE FALL. Everyone in Memphis just felt a collective sigh a relief that the heatwave is over, and it finally feels like October :).

Well this super sweet family contacted me over the summer for a birthday celebratory photo session. All the family was in town, and that called for a family photo session. That definitely worked for me. I've always valued family photos as my walls can attest.

SURPRISE PROPOSAL! If you guys are following me Instagram, you may have seen when I posted I was doing this surprise proposal back over the summer. My goodness. IT WAS SO HOT. I think we had the entire Botanic Gardens to ourselves because no one wanted to be outside.

Alex had contacted me, and we met up beforehand to talk about the location he wanted to propose to his girlfriend. I gave him some tips and pointers. Everything went off flawlessly, and she said yes!

Next up is my friend, Liz! She's running for a local office here in Collierville, and she needed some updated photos for her campaign. I've known Liz for a long time. We've been in the Collierville Chamber together at one point and in the Collierville Rotary Club. Liz always has a smile on her face and always wants to do great things for the Town of Collierville. This week is all about headshots! I get asked quite a bit if I offer headshot photography, and the answer is YES! I love making people feel relaxed and feel good about themselves. Nine times out of ten, people dread taking headshot photos. Most everyone comments how easy and painless I make this process go for them. I've actually known Staci for several years, and I was happy to squeeze her in for a headshot session. She was recognized by the Memphis Business Journal as one of the Women Who Lead in Finance and Investments. I can say I know her :) Congratulations, Staci!

A few weeks ago, I met up with C and Maple at our Collierville Town Square. C does an amazing job training up dogs for Leader Dogs for the Blind. It's a wonderful service that I've watch C be a part of for many, many years. I think this is the fifth dog that I have photographed for C as part of this endeavor. Each dog has had his/her own personality. It's definitely a service over self commitment. The hardest part of the program is taking the dogs back after they have trained with the trainer, but the rewarding part is hearing how they've helped their assigned person. I am sure going to miss seeing Maple now that she is going to the next part of her program!

My calendar is busy y'all, and you're letting me know that October is later this week. Thanks for keeping my calendar full :)

In the meantime...here's this little guy to bring you some smiles on a Tuesday! I drove to their house and did some lifestyle newborn photos. I love it when we can incorporate some things that mean something to the family and in a place where they know it's "their home". We had a full house with an excited mom and doting grandparents, and I couldn't imagine anything sweeter than being surrounded by all those loving people on a first newborn session

Sometimes a couple get married and has an "after party" celebration, and this is one of those occasions. I have worked with this family on a few occasions, and I always love hearing from them--no matter what the celebration may be. I showed up at the address, and I wasn't sure what kind of environment I would have. I found a little slice of heaven! These guys were all in it to have fun, as you can see! If you're following me on Instagram, you saw a teaser of this session when it was happening...

But help me congratulate my SON and his fiancée Lilly! I have loved watching the Lord work in ways that only He could. Nothing gives me greater joy than seeing my kids live their lives and be happy doing it. Kyle and Lilly are getting married later this year in Byhlia, MS. Welcome to the family, Lilly!

I've been MIA for a few weeks, so here's a video update that tells you why! You guys have been great at scheduling your fall photo sessions, so there's just a few weekend appointments left with some weekday slots available as well.
