, Tina's specialties include business portraits and personal branding, maternity, newborn, and children's portraits. She is uniquely skilled in both photographic and painterly portraiture, as well as fine art works including pets and animals. Tina has earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) credential from Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and her Master of Photography degree with PPA. She is currently working toward her Master Artist degree as well. Several years ago in a Zumba class I met this fun, energetic young woman who danced her heart out in every class. We got to know each other a bit over time, and I watched her dance her way through multiple pregnancies. Always amazed me how she could be days from delivery and still sweat it out in a Zumba class!

I had the privilege of making her sweet Perrin's newborn photos in 2017 and since then I've watched her and her family navigate loss and joy in equal measure. They have handled unimaginable loss with faith, grace, and courage, and continued to grow their family. They may have thought Jovi Hope would be the baby forever, but one more little love has arrived!

I had the honor of making newborn photos for their beautiful new daughter. She was a dream in the studio, sleeping most of the time. I simply wanted to make some beautiful newborn photos, but when I heard her birthstone is Amethyst and her middle name is Iris, well let's just say I may have gone a little overboard. I'll have more to share soon, but for now, let's welcome Nova Iris in all her newborn perfection!

He started calling.... One of my dart frogs, that is. Loudly. Repeatedly. At wildly inappropriate times. Which is both adorable and a little on-the-nose because lately I've been thinking. How often do we wait for the "right" time to speak up? Make a move? Be seen?

You sit quietly for ages, waiting for the right conditions—the right time, the right circumstance, maybe a confidence boost—and then one day, you just 𝘣𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦.

“Hey, I’m here. Still growing. Still figuring it out. But I’m ready for 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.”

June is that kind of month. Not exactly a fresh start. Not quite a finish line. Just a little in-between moment that asks you to listen in and maybe call out, even if you’re not sure who’s listening.

Stepping in front of the camera used to feel terrifying for me. I’d pick apart every little flaw, overthink everything, and wonder if the photos would ever capture the way I wanted to see myself. Sound familiar?
