2026. Forever. Part 1 of 2. So back to this gorgeous and loving duo. This was a shoot that they did as a favor to me because I had a concept and I knew that they had the vintage style and way about them to fit my “vision,” as they say. And boy was I right! I just adore these two and it was such a fun morning. Also, that was her grandmother’s picnic basket. ❤️ Lauren Abell Christian Anderson

2026. Congratulations to the GRADUATED Class of 2026! Some of you I have known since you were little, and I’ve watched you grow into the amazing young adults that you’ve become. Regardless of whether I’ve known you for years or if we’ve just met, I want you to know that ALL of you are incredible, and I’m happy that our lives touched if even for just a few hours. ❤️You are pursuing degrees, minors, double majors, or licensing in: kinesiology, forensic science, early childhood education, biology, finance, nursing, physical therapy, engineering, microbiology, sports business, aerospace engineering, percussion performance, English, mechanical engineering, electrical systems, graphic design, business, fire science, visualization, computer science, occupational therapy, film, theater, economics, ballet, quantitative bioscience engineering, history, political science, and some of you have already started working and making your way, are taking a gap year, or are undecided! The thing is, you are each on your own journey, and things will ebb and flow until you figure it out, this thing called Life. But you’re on your way, and how great is that??? ❤️ Continued in comments…

2026. June. And the last but not least of my 2026 Seniors is my sweet and handsome nephew. I got to go up to Virginia for his graduation and we had ourselves a little outing to the beautiful Great Falls Park. We may have risked life and limb for some of these shots, but we won’t talk about that. He’s headed off to Virginia Tech and joining the ROTC today, and we are all so proud of him! I love you, Jake! You’re gonna rock this college thing.

2026. Forever. This beautiful couple is engaged and they are the sweetest and the cutest. And their retro-vintage lifestyle?? Come ON. They make me so happy. ❤️ And did I mention that they SING?? They are so talented. Swipe to the end to see the sweet mini performance they did when I asked. 🥹

2026. April. Last month, I got to meet this beautiful family, and it was such a great shoot. It was technically a family session, but the eldest was a Senior getting ready to graduate and go play baseball. Two things were the best — they brought his favorite little stuffy from when he was little (OMG 🥹), and we found a field of thistle at the tail end for this sweet girl to pose in. ❤️

2026. May. {personal} We went to my daughter’s school at The Gild in Dallas to do some cap & gown portraits for her graduation as a fashion designer and product developer from Wade College. The gold buildings at The Gild are so cool, but it was in the middle of a bright, hot, and sunny day, so we went down into the side of the garage and found a shady corner, in case you’re thinking, “Where is this place??” 😬🤷🏻‍♀️ I have already gushed about this girl, so I will chill out on this post, but she graduated last night with multiple high honors, and we could not be prouder! ❤️ Yay, baby girl!

2026. April. This super chill, handsome Senior is graduating tomorrow! He was a little guy when I last took his portraits, so it was a treat to see him even though he didn’t really remember me. 🤣 Everybody knows that I have a fondness for musicians, and a particular soft spot for percussionists, and he’s been a talented marimbist in his awesome high school band. No doubt they will miss him. Congrats and best of luck at UT, Evan! ❤️

2026. April. Congratulations to this bright and talented young man on his graduation from high school. I hadn’t seen him since I think he was in middle school, and he sure got tall and handsome! Best of luck in college, Crawford! ❤️

2026. May. {personal} My daughter will be a graduate of tomorrow and I could not be prouder. It has been the perfect place for her at the perfect time. This outfit is her own design. The fabric for the pants was cut and pieced by her as her cats looked on. The top was “mathed” in her bedroom as she gnawed on beef jerky. She loves crochet and will talk your ear off about her disdain for fast fashion’s use of it with child and underpaid labor. She would tell you never to buy bulk-made, “cheap” crocheted items because crochet cannot be machine-made; it is stitched only by hand, therefore someone out there is working their fingers raw and getting paid pennies. Just some food for thought, and I love her passion on this subject. This is my daughter. She makes my heart burst. ❤️
