Happy National Aviation Day and World Photography Day! How cool is it that the days celebrating two of my absolutely favorite things fall on the exact same day! If you’re new here, hi!! My name is Kayla! I’ve been a photographer for 7 years and specifically an aviation photographer for just over 4 years! I figured today was as good of a day as any to share a bit of a different kind of post, giving me the opportunity to re-introduce myself and share some of my favorite photos that I’ve taken so far this year!
A little about me is that I am 23 years old, turning 24 this year, I’ve been married for almost 2 years (wow does time fly!!!), and I’ve got SEVEN pets (1 dog, 1 leopard gecko, 2 cats, and 3 snakes!)! My favorite jet is the F-16 Fighting Falcon and while I love both teams I’m a ride or die Thunderbirds girl! A core aviation memory for me was attending the Hillsboro Oregon Airshow when I was in 7th grade, it was hot as can be and I was over it in that heat!!! That is until the Viper demo team did a low high speed pass, one that rattled the hangars my mom and I were walking between and shook me to my core! I felt that pass in my bones and from that moment on I was hooked!! I ended up returning to the airshow the very next day with my friends!!
