Some Nymphs I tied a few weeks ago.. I was going for an Isonychia nymph representation. I don't think the body is dark enough. Oh well they will still get fished.

The Puff Daddy is a must have fly for a sulfur hatch and is a simple quick tie. It also works for a Blue Wing Olive hatch in smaller sizes (change the colors of the material).
Hook: your favorite dry fly hook.
Thread: a pale yellow or light Cahill
Body: pale yellow or sulfur orange superfine dubbing.
Hackle: CDC natural dun.

Thread: Veevus 100 Denier Gel Spun (black), Collar: Orange 70 denier Ultra thread.
Tails, legs, and antennae: Black goose biots.
Wing casing: Black thin skin.
Ribbing: Black vinyl ribbing (Small)
Underbody: .35 leadfree wire.
Dubbing: Black nymph dubbing.

I spent the morning on The Hiwassee river this morning.. The bite was slow. However, I can confirm that the river has some big Stonefly nymphs in it. I told a friend who is a retired fisheries biologist that worked for TVA, and he told me that is uncommon for tailwaters.
