Nate & Kristi
A proposal that was so thoughtful and intentional from the very beginning. When Nate reached out to me, he knew he wanted it in a spot that was quintessential Savannah. Lafayette Square immediately came to mind.
Kristi originally thought they were simply going to Charlotte for Nate’s work. But little did she know, that was just their connecting flight. The morning after they arrived in Savannah, Nate told Kristi they were going to go walk around before getting brunch.
For proposals I always arrive early to make sure everything looks good in the location we’ve decided on and to put a little “x” down on the sidewalk so they know where exactly to go. Well when I got to the square I noticed they had half of the bushes pulled up in the direction we had planned on. So that morning I was frantically texting Nate telling him we had to change the direction. I hoped and prayed it would all work out.
Which of course it did. Even better than we could’ve hoped. You see, the direction we ended up turning for the proposal has a cross in the background. Turns out this was significant to Nate and Kristi because the Lord had been working in their lives and transforming their relationship the last year. It was a reminder that God truly is in every little detail!
After the sweet moment of the proposal we walked all around Jones Street, and Chippewa Square before ending in The Perry Lane where they were staying for a little champagne.
Truly such a wonderful morning filled with joy, love and plenty of giggles!
