Out here in Connecticut roaming around and chasing waterfalls. The sound of rushing water, the cool mountain air, and a view worth every step to get here. Nature always reminds me to slow down and take it all in. Time stands still. Get outside and explore, folks!

Cold water. Quiet current. One cast at a time. A fly fisherman stands waist-deep in the legendary Farmington River chasing trout beneath the afternoon light — where patience meets precision and every drift tells a story. There’s something timeless about the rhythm of the river in Granby. The sound of moving water, the pull of the line, and the calm that only comes from being fully present outdoors.

Chasing sunset in Chicago. Happy birthday week to who slayed this rooftop fashion session at sunset as the sky exploded with cotton candy color. This is the result when everything around a photo session comes together at the right moment.

Board in hand. Salt in the air. The ocean calling! There’s a certain kind of peace in the walk down those weathered wooden steps — the moment before the waves, before the noise, before the world catches up. Just a surfer, the sea, and the promise of the next ride.

Leather jacket worn soft by time. Denim faded from long roads. A glass of whiskey, a quiet table, and the kind of silence that says more than words ever could. Caught somewhere between outlaw and poet — this frame lives in the shadows, where grit meets soul and every detail tells a story. Moody light, heavy atmosphere, and a cowboy who looks like he walked straight out of another era.

Stopped at the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge last week. I was able to grab a few images of this Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) wading through the lily pads searching for food. The Glossy Ibis is a medium-sized wading bird known for its stunning iridescent plumage and I thought this image showed off his feathers.

Fueled by flapjacks in small-town charm with a full tank of nostalgia. Driving through Estill, SC, The StackStation Pancake House caught my eye. I stopped and snapped a few frames of The Stack Station — where breakfast meets roadside Americana. Stepping back in time at the vintage Gulf-inspired decor to the retro gas station vibes. Perfect textures, colors, and character for any photographer chasing that classic Southern Americana aesthetic.

Rusty signs, old pumps, chrome details, and pancakes worth stopping for - Stack’em up!

Perched in quiet stillness at the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, this anhinga opens its wings to the sun—nature’s way of resetting after the hunt. Often called the “snakebird,” it glides through the water with only its slender neck visible, striking like a shadow beneath the surface. Unlike most water birds, its feathers aren’t waterproof—trading buoyancy for the ability to dive deeper and move with precision. And when the moment comes? A lightning-fast strike. With a bill like a spear, it hunts fish in a way few others can. A balance of patience, adaptation, and raw instinct—wildlife at its finest.
