This weekend was such a rewarding reminder of why I love what I do. Sometimes that means driving two and a half hours to soak up a summer market, camera in hand, ready to capture all the moments that make months of planning worth it.
For those who know me and my work, you know I’m usually the one behind the camera. Over the last few years, though, I’ve found myself stepping behind the brand as well. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law have allowed me the opportunity to truly flourish creatively at Lattes & Littles—helping bring ideas to life through marketing, content creation, event coordination, collaborations, graphics, and strategy. It’s been such a fun and fulfilling creative expansion.
So much goes into the marketing and coordination behind an event—from vendor communication and organization to creating graphics, building vendor maps, planning content, capturing photos and videos, editing, and making sure every detail comes together seamlessly. What many people see for just a few hours on event day is often the result of countless hours spent behind the scenes. Supporting small businesses matters for this exact reason.
Seeing a map that once existed only on my screen become a vibrant, thriving market was a full-circle moment. Meeting the faces behind the businesses, photographing their work, and watching everything come together made every late night and endless to-do list worth it.
And if I’m being completely honest, I’m especially proud because I’m doing all of this while being a mom of two, booking photography sessions, and working an additional 15+ hours each week for Lattes & Littles. Balancing motherhood, work, creativity, and all the things in between isn’t always easy, but it’s a reminder that you can build something meaningful for yourself while raising your kids.
Needless to say, I love this chapter. Being able to combine creativity, marketing, photography, and storytelling into something meaningful, all while raising tiny humans, fills up my bucket—and this weekend was a beautiful reminder of that. 🤍
WOW! We are so grateful for your support today. Truly speechless. 💛
Thank you so much to the vendors, families, and community members who made this event so special.
After the heartbreaking tragedy that impacted another local festival this weekend, we weren’t sure what today would feel like. What we witnessed instead was a community showing up for one another with kindness, resilience, and support. Our hearts remain with everyone affected, including the vendors, families, organizers, and attendees whose day was forever changed.
Today’s market was the result of countless hours of planning, months of preparation, emails, phone calls, vendor coordination, marketing, setup, and behind-the-scenes work. While events like this only last a few hours, they are built through the dedication of so many people who work tirelessly to bring them to life.
It was incredibly meaningful that so many people choose to shop local, support one another, and show up for their community.
Thank you to every vendor who trusted us, every family who attended, every child who played, every purchase made, every share on social media, and every person who stopped by to support local. Today was a reminder that even in the midst of heartbreak, community will ALWAYS shine through. 💛☀️
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making our Summer Market one we’ll never forget. 🥹
Who wants to see another market in the future? 👀
& of course more pictures to come ☺️
