So I did a styled shoot. I’ve never done a styled shoot before, so this was a fun new thing for me. Abby (from I Do Collective ) set up everything to look like an amazing bachelorette party, and it turns out even pretending to party is a damn good time.

I got myself an Instax! The Cheat is my forever camera and lighting tester, so he graciously stood in so I could try it out with and without flash. I'm still figuring it out, but I'll be adding some instant film shots to my wedding and portrait sessions this year.

BTW, I'd like to try this out for a newborn session. If you know someone who has a newborn now, or is due soonish, tag 'em! I'll be looking to do a model call for that.

It's not every day that I get to shoot a wedding with a firebreather. Technically I was second shooting this one, so I had to run and gun it a bit. I got about 30 seconds of notice that we'd be doing this shot, which was just enough time to get a monopod and a flash on my camera and go stand in the street with it. Your wedding doesn't have to be this wild for me to be excited about it, but I do love to work with the kind of weirdos (complimentary) who don't feel like their weddings have to check off all the traditional boxes. Or, you know, any of them.
