When you know, you know - and Colby and Allie knew by their second date. They built a love that felt easy from the very start. After designing rings for each other over this past winter, they each planned their own proposals. Allie is notoriously bad at keeping secrets, so while Colby may have suspected something, she was over the moon when they returned home to their apartment after brunch to candles, cake, and a heartfelt proposal. Soon after, Colby orchestrated a ski trip to Montana (her first time on the slopes, but Allie’s favorite winter activity) and proposed on the last day of their trip high up in the mountains.⁠

Now these two Charlestown locals are planning a beautiful wedding at the Boston Public Library next fall, and we are ecstatic! Congrats Colby and Allie 💕

Lauren and Nick’s wedding took place at Lauren’s childhood home, a stunning historic Marblehead estate overlooking the ocean, complete with an Italianate rose garden, fountains, and dramatic coastal cliffs. They exchanged hand-written vows during their first look among the roses, said “I do” on the front steps beneath a golden cod while a live painter captured the scene, and celebrated with lobster rolls by the pool and a champagne wall at dinner. Guests found their seats at tables named after the couple’s favorite New England beaches, and as the sun set, Lauren and Nick kicked off their shoes and took a moment to soak it all in on the cliffs before dancing the night away in the backyard.⁠

So grateful to Carats + Cake for featuring Katherine and Ryan’s iconic Bowery Hotel wedding - a deeply romantic candlelit celebration showcasing the timeless romance of New York City.⁠

From their Spanish class meeting at Rhodes College to building a life together in Tribeca, these two crafted a day that felt entirely their own: spring florals climbing the famous green-tiled fireplace, taxi-shaped place cards, Katherine in Vera Wang from the Upper East Side flagship, and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Henry, stealing the show in a bow tie (who is also featured on their cake!)⁠

The couple embraced their planner’s advice to “choose your own adventure,” staying true to themselves at every turn. In doing so, their iconic Manhattan celebration felt timeless, sophisticated, and unmistakably Katherine & Ryan 🥂⁠

Eleven years in the making, Jackie and Peter’s whimsical summer wedding at Brae Burn Country Club was a masterclass in floral legacy. As a proud fourth-generation florist at Central Square Florist in Cambridge, Jackie curated a vibrant sea of Dutch hydrangeas and Juliet garden roses, even sourcing specific dahlias from a family farm to perfect her dream chuppah. Between the floral-patterned bridesmaids’ gowns, sentimental signing of their ketubah, and the custom touches honoring their pup Daisy, the day was a joyful, timeless celebration of love and heritage.⁠

Two brides, one vision - sophisticated whimsy in the heart of Manhattan. Kate and Ali’s wedding at the Yale Club of New York City was everything: wildflowers spilling across long reception tables, a chuppah draped in pink blooms, a raw bar served from a boat, and a nine piece band playing “Stand by Me” to kick off the night before launching into the horah.⁠

Their gowns were chosen together at the iconic Kleinfeld - a classic off-the-shoulder Sareh Nouri for Kate and a beaded Martina Liana with a removable organza overskirt for Ali (which was a surprise addition to all as she walked down the aisle).⁠

The date was chosen to coincide with NYC Pride Weekend, every table had a monogrammed disposable camera for the most fun guest candids, and they even sported rainbow accents on their dance floor shoes. Every detail felt intentional, personal, and completely them.⁠

Three wedding plans unfolded into one unforgettable summer night on the coast in Gloucester. After years of waiting, rescheduling, and reimagining, Bryan and Sean finally celebrated the way they always dreamed - with bold, colorful florals, fireworks over the water, and a vision they called “coastal gay disco.”⁠

The Beauport Hotel was the perfect backdrop for an evening that felt as elegant as it did joyful, full of personal touches that made every corner of the room feel intentional, from the colorful watercolor invitation suite, rainbow layer cake, oyster shell seating chart, custom crest featuring their favorite foods, down to the fresh flower wall that greeted guests with the message “Love is love” as they walked in 🌈⁠

This colorful, whimsical Cape Cod tented beach wedding has been featured on Inspired By This! The team is so excited to share this vibrant wedding and our incredible couple behind it all, Hil & Will 🥂⁠ It’s the kind of weekend guests talk about for years, from bowling, to bluegrass, to bagels.⁠

We love the colorful chuppah overlooking Nauset Beach, hand-painted buoy es**rt cards, peach and coral florals framing the entrance to the tent, cranberry bourbon sours with lobster swizzle sticks, and especially the surprise LEGO recreation of the entire wedding (the best surprise gift from Hil to Will!)⁠
