Every year, we hold our annual Cap & Gown Days—a special little window of time the Sunday before graduations begin in May ✨ It’s that exciting moment when seniors finally have their caps, gowns, and tassels in hand… and graduation is just days away.

Today we’re celebrating a few of these incredible grads 🤍

🎓 Riley, Peyton & Sophia...Riley & Peyton are twins and all three are friends! One of the fun perks of signing up for Cap & Gown photos, back to back, with friends! We can get group shots and individual, even when they go to different schools. So fun!

Please take a moment to send this family some love and prayers 🤍

Sweet Atlas Lee was born sleeping.

This session was for a family I personally know, and like so many loss stories, there is so much that happens long before the photographs are taken.

Many people don’t realize the heartbreaking journey these families walk. The unbearable news that there is no heartbeat… the waiting… sometimes days of labor and emotions no parent should ever have to carry. And then finally meeting your baby while knowing goodbye is already part of the story.

You hold them carefully because they are so fragile. You memorize every tiny detail. You love on them with everything you have… and then somehow leave the hospital with empty arms.

It is truly heartbreaking.

I have photographed many families walking through this kind of loss, and the truth is—it happens far more often than most of us realize. Every story is different. Some parents hold their baby for hours. Some cannot bring themselves to at all. Some cry so hard they can barely breathe. There is no right way to grieve.

My heart and prayers are with this family as they navigate a loss no parent should have to endure.

Atlas was perfect… just not meant for earth 🤍

Every year, we hold our annual Cap & Gown Days—a special little window of time the Sunday before graduations begin in May ✨ It’s that exciting moment when seniors finally have their caps, gowns, and tassels in hand… and graduation is just days away.

Today we’re celebrating a few of these incredible grads 🤍

🎓 Jacob was the first graduate in front of my camera for Cap & Gown Days—and his session was such a sweet gift from his girlfriend’s family. The funny part? I photographed Jacob MANY years ago when he was just a little guy 🥹 Small world and full-circle moments like this get me every time.

🎓 Sara brought along something extra special… a canvas of “where it all started.” That newborn photo she’s holding? I took that too 😭 Talk about a heart-tugging and “how is this possible?!” moment!

🎓 And then there’s Elleyna… rocking those gorgeous curls, her bright smile, and the cutest polka dot dress ✨
Watching these kids grow, graduate, and step into their next chapters is one of the greatest honors of what I do 🤍

As a spiritual director, Britt is sharing her knowledge, experiences, and tools to help others navigating deconstruction from high-demand religions and existential crisis—and now her message is reaching even more people through her newly published book.

With a strong and growing community across her platforms, Britt needed updated business portraits that reflected both her personality and her mission 🤍 I helped guide her with wardrobe and prop ideas, but she brought the vision, heart, and authenticity that made these images come to life.

Sophia wrapped up her final Season Senior session, and what a beautiful way to finish this year together ✨

Showing off tennis in the blooming orchards, cute spring outfits, and even sharing her Converse collection—every part of this session felt so *her* 🤍 And then… we snuck in some extra special images with her childhood blankie and stuffed animal 🥹 Cue all the mama tears.

The orchards were absolutely stunning, and Sophia looked beautiful in every single moment. But beyond that, she is truly beautiful inside and out.

It has been such a joy capturing this sweet girl throughout her senior year and watching her story unfold in front of my camera 🌸

Congratulations on graduation, Sophia! I’m so happy for you and so excited to see where this next chapter takes you ✨

Can we hear it for the seniors balancing ALL the things right now?! 👏🏼🎓 Drop a 💪🏼 if you know a senior working hard toward their next chapter!

Between wrestling, school, and figuring out where life would take him after graduation, Tensei had a full plate this year—but we finally snuck in his senior portraits at the beginning of May, and WOW… they did not disappoint ✨

Tensei is my friend’s son, and he was truly such a joy to work with. Kind, laid back, respectful, and an absolute gentleman 🤍

Before his session, Tensei and his dad came in for a Planning Session where we talked through locations, clothing, and product ideas so everything felt personalized and intentional. By the time session day arrived, it was nothing but fun.

But honestly? My favorite moment came later during the ordering session when Tensei saw his images and was genuinely blown away by them 🥹 Those moments make my heart so happy.

This late summer, Tensei is headed off to college to continue both his education and his wrestling career 🤼‍♂️🎓

So proud of you, Tensei! Excited to see all the amazing things ahead for you.

Aubrey wrapped up her final Season Senior session surrounded by tall green spring grass, blooming sagebrush, her adorable dogs, and the prettiest spring outfits ✨

What makes sessions like this so meaningful is that they don’t just happen by accident. Back at her Planning Session last year, we mapped out every detail together—her hobbies, interests, locations, outfits, dates, and the overall look and feel she wanted for each season of her senior year 🤍

And now here we are… at the final session.

Watching Aubrey grow in front of my camera this past year has been so special. From navigating senior year to making plans for what comes next, she has stepped into this season with so much beauty and confidence.

I love this kid and her family so much, and I couldn’t be more excited for her next chapter 🎓✨

Who else is still holding onto winter just a little bit longer? Or wish it even arrived this year!!! ❄️🤍 Drop a snowflake if you’d take snowy photos over summer heat any day! I know there won't be many as most people say they don't like snow 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hudson wrapped up his final Season Senior session with just enough snow to make it feel magical ✨ The snow was melting, the ski resort was already closed for the season, and honestly… it gave off total spring skiing vibes 😂

The funny part? Hudson doesn’t even ski (anymore). hahaha

But that didn’t stop us from capturing some awesome shots in the snow, hoodie and all, plus a few snowball moments mixed in for fun ❄️

It’s honestly so crazy that graduation is already here, Hud 🎓 So proud of you and so excited for everything ahead in your next chapter. Keep being you, kid!

Downtown Boise, the very green Boise foothills, and a favorite childhood book… honestly, not a bad way at all to wrap up Phoebe’s Season Senior sessions 🌿📚✨

Phoebe is absolutely beautiful inside and out, incredibly organized, and always knew exactly what she wanted for her sessions—and I truly appreciated that! Watching her vision come to life throughout the year has been so much fun.

She has been an absolute blast to work with, and now this Idaho girl is headed to Texas Christian University 💜🐸 TCU baby!!

Congratulations, Phoebe! So excited for your next adventure and all the amazing things ahead for you 🤍

Okay moms… who still has their kiddo’s favorite childhood stuffed animal tucked away somewhere? 🥹🤍 Drop a 🧸 if you do!

When Katie’s mom grabbed her favorite childhood stuffies on the way out the door “just in case”… it ended up being the BEST idea ever ✨

I had actually recently seen this idea and planned to start suggesting it for my 2027 seniors—but Katie’s mom was already ahead of me 🥹

Meet Platy the Platypus and Roscoe the dog 🤍 The two stuffies Katie absolutely couldn’t live without as a little girl. Including them in her senior session was such a sweet reminder of how quickly time passes.

The days are long… but the years really are short.

Katie wrapped up her final Season Senior session in the blooming orchards, and she looked absolutely stunning 🌸 She is beautiful inside and out, and photographing her this year has been especially emotional because I’ve been capturing her life since she was around ONE year old 😭 Oh my heart.

And now? She’s graduating and heading off to Arizona State University 🎓✨

Katie, keep being YOU. I’m so excited for your next chapter and so proud of the amazing young woman you’ve become 🤍
