Cindy Fiano Photography My biggest inspiration has been to capture and share the beauty in the common that often gets overlooked. Always with Gratitude,
Cindy

It's the smaller details overshadowed by daily activities that hold the key to a deeper connection to nature and joy. After many, many years of working I have the privilege of retirement in beautiful community of Sun City Hilton Head where I can enjoy so many year round activities and beautiful beaches and nature. I hope to share the beauty of low country with you as I explore.

Just wanted to share something different. I love taking photos of flowers. This one is a pink hydrangea. At least it was pink on the day I took the photo. Many hydrangeas change their flower color based on soil chemistry. So like most people, hydrangeas react to what they absorb around them!!! Just so you know, I have not been able to grow one. I’ll have to think about that for awhile.

What a colorful site to see in the middle of nowhere. I can’t help but wonder how old the barn is. How many years did it shelter animals and feed. And when will it decide to fall. While I love the barn and it’s one red side, the highlight of the photo is the red vehicle. That’s what makes it so special. Taken near Pisgah National Forest.

This is Memorial Chapel at Lake Junaluska in NC. Located right on the tranquil lakeshore beside the Memorial Chapel is a labyrinth. This smooth flagstone pathway offers a structured, three-stage meditative walk focused on releasing distractions, receiving peace, and returning to the world renewed. I do not come across labyrinths often so when I do I make every effort to spend the time walking it.

I have always loved the sound of a waterfall and the cool air that surrounds it. Since the waterfalls were hard to come by without a long hike, enjoy this little brook!!!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to take a photo like this and capture a special moment in time. It was so easy for me to capture with one click. But so much work for those who have to take care of these cows every day.

This photo was taken in Clyde NC. I saw them on last year’s trip but couldn’t get a good photo. This year they were placed in a better part of the yard. I was especially intrigued with the front horse’s black lower legs. Both of them are extremely beautiful.

Day 14. Spent the day in Cherokee where one of the highlights is MINGO FALLS.
Nestled in the heart of the Qualla Boundary, Mingo Falls stands as one of the tallest and most awe-inspiring waterfalls in the Southern Appalachians.
With its dramatic 120-foot cascade tumbling over mossy rocks and into a serene forest hollow, this natural wonder is a must-see for anyone exploring Cherokee. While I would love to experience the view, I was not up to climbing the 160 steps!!! Instead, here is a photo of the steps. It’s still a beautiful view!!

Day 13. This happened as we were getting ready to go out exploring. Needless to say it ended up being a stay-at-home day when I again got to read, knit, puzzle and watched tv for the first time on this trip!!! And yes - the dog was safe under the bed.

Day 12. Enjoying a cool and relaxing evening on the front porch of our Airbnb drinking wine and listening to the crickets and flowing streams. I don’t have to go too far to get a great pic.
