Beach sessions with kiddos don’t have to feel stressful ✨

The secret? Letting them be little.
The happiest, most connected family photos happen when toddlers are free to explore, play, snuggle, snack, and take breaks when they need them.

I never expect kids and toddlers to sit still and smile at the camera the entire session — honestly, that’s not where the magic happens anyway. The best moments come from movement, curiosity, giggles, sandy toes, and the way they naturally reach for you. 🤍

Beach sessions officially started back up this week ☀️🌊

But this one? A little throwback to one of my favorite beach nights with one of my favorite families — the kind of moments that remind me exactly why I love what I do.

And can we talk about dads for a second? Because let’s be honest… family photos aren’t always their favorite thing 😅

She was one of the very first moms I photographed when I moved to Connecticut in 2020… and somehow, here we are years later, still documenting her story 🤍
This is the part of my work I hold closest — getting to witness not just motherhood, but the becoming of a mother over and over again. The quiet changes, the growing confidence, the way love stretches with each new baby.
Watching her step into new seasons, grow her family, and still show up with the same softness… it’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Just outside my new Essex studio—before it was even officially mine—this felt like the kind of summer night you wish you could bottle up forever.

Golden light, warm air, and three sisters running barefoot through the grass… waiting on their baby brother. The kind of in-between season that feels slow and fleeting all at once.

No stiff posing. No pressure to be perfect. Just kids being kids, laughter carried in the breeze, and a family soaking in these last moments before everything changes in the most beautiful way.

Let this be your reminder: stepping in front of the camera, just as you are, in this season of life—it’s an act of kindness to yourself. 🤍

Just finished a full website refresh and went down the rabbit hole of years of sessions… and found these gems 🥹 One of my favorite families, one of my favorite beach nights, and the kind of moments that remind me why I love what I do.

There’s just something about a Connecticut beach session — salty air, sandy toes, golden light, and kids who are free to just be. These are the memories that stick.
