MIDWEST GRIT | BEAU | CLASS OF 2027

Some senior sessions just deserve a little extra drama.

For Beau's final OFF GRID session, we traded the football field and locker room for gravel roads, an old Midwest backdrop, his white truck, and some seriously dramatic skies.

And the results? Exactly the kind of cinematic portraits I love creating!

This final set wraps up Beau's OFF GRID experience, and what a ride it's been. From the water and football gear of ELEMENTS to the bold, dramatic looks of ALL BUSINESS, and now the rugged atmosphere of MIDWEST GRIT, each session brought something completely different to his senior portraits.

That's what I love about OFF GRID. It's an opportunity to step away from traditional senior portraits and create something unexpected, personal, and completely unique.

A huge thank you to Beau for being part of this experience and going along with all my crazy creative ideas!

And now, it's time for the CLASS OF 2028!

OFF GRID is officially booking for the Class of 2028. If you're looking for senior portraits that go beyond the ordinary, let's talk about what we can create together.

GO OFF GRID.

19 people. One beautiful summer afternoon. And the BEST kind of controlled chaos!

I've had the pleasure of photographing this extended family before, but they've added a few more smiling faces since our last session!

From Grandma and Grandpa to the newest little addition, this crew brought ALL the smiles, laughter, and fun to the Dubuque Arboretum. And let me tell you, getting 19 people together for photos isn't always easy, but this family made it an absolute blast!

So much love, so much laughter, and so many memories worth capturing.

Take a peek at their session on the blog!

Nineteen family members, endless laughter, and a gorgeous summer afternoon at the Dubuque Arboretum. See this fun extended family portrait session!

There's a whole lot more to Cole than what you see on the football field!

This Black Hawk Class of 2027 senior is about as laid-back and easygoing as they come. Quiet, kindhearted, and always willing to go along with whatever crazy idea I throw his way!

From the historic streets of Galena to beautiful country sunsets and even getting IN the water, Cole made every part of his senior experience his own.

And we aren't even close to finished showing off this guy!

Stay tuned… because the athlete side of Cole is coming next. And WOW, did he bring it!

THREE SPORTS. ONE INCREDIBLE ATHLETE.

Football. Basketball. Baseball. And let's not forget the weight room!

Sports have been a huge part of Cole's high school journey, and we made sure to celebrate EVERY bit of it!

From the football field where he's spent countless hours putting in the work to the studio where we brought some pretty epic ideas to life, Cole absolutely CRUSHED his sports portraits!

The intensity, the determination, and his willingness to jump into every idea made this Green Screen Experience one for the books!

Cole, I had SO much fun creating these with you! Here's to an incredible senior year and all the memories still to come!

Laid-back personality. Competitive spirit. And a senior experience that captured BOTH!
Meet Cole, a Class of 2027 senior from Black Hawk High School!
From the historic streets of Galena to country sunsets, football fields, and some seriously EPIC Green Screen sports portraits, Cole's sessions had a little bit of everything!
He's quiet, easygoing, and pretty much up for anything… but put this guy in a uniform, and it's GAME ON!
I absolutely LOVED capturing all the different sides of Cole's personality!
Check out his senior spotlight and some of my favorite images from his experience!

Cole's Class of 2027 senior pictures feature Galena, WI countryside sunsets, football portraits, and dramatic green screen sports photography.

ALL BUSINESS. NO SHORTCUTS.

Back with Beau for another round of OFF GRID.

This time, we're trading the water and sunset for orange lights, locker rooms, and the weight room.

Because there's more to an athlete than what happens under the Friday night lights.

The preparation. The discipline. The work nobody sees.

From suited up to putting in the work, Beau brought a whole different energy to this session.

Senior portraits that go beyond the ordinary.

CLASS OF 2027 — NOW BOOKING

This is what happens when we take senior portraits OFF GRID.
Meet Beau's MIDWEST ELEMENTS shoot.
Football is obviously part of his senior year — but instead of taking him back to the field for another set of football portraits, I wanted to see what would happen if we took the uniform, the ball and everything that represents the sport... and completely changed the environment.
So, into the water we went.
Add in that incredible Midwest sky, a whole lot of water, and permission to push the idea further than we normally would during a senior session — and this happened.
This is exactly why I created OFF GRID.
The guys still receive the full, customized Candid Touch Senior Experience. OFF GRID gives us something extra — bonus stylized shoots where we can take an idea and turn up the volume. Water, mud, fog, dramatic lighting, unexpected locations... there really aren't many rules.
And it doesn't have to be about sports. OFF GRID is about the guy — his personality, his interests, his style — and finding a way to create something that couldn't belong to anyone else.

Go Off Grid with your senior portraits.
This is the kind of session I dreamed about when I created the Off Grid concept.
Not just a jersey.
Not just a pose.
Not just another senior picture.
This was built around the idea of Sports Elements — taking an athlete out of the expected setting and creating something cinematic, bold, and completely unforgettable.
Water.
Football.
Golden light.
Full commitment.
Senior portraits can be dramatic.
They can tell a story.
They can feel like a movie scene.
They can be unlike anything anyone else is doing.
Go Off Grid. Be like no one else.

Go Off Grid with your senior portraits.
This is the work before the lights.
The quiet moments.
The preparation.
The focus.
The grit.
The side of the athlete most people never see.
Off Grid was created to push senior portraits beyond the expected — to bring more drama, more personality, more creativity, and more story to the experience.
Not just a jersey.
Not just a pose.
Not just what everyone else is doing.
Senior portraits can feel cinematic.
They can feel bold.
They can feel editorial.
They can feel like you.
Go Off Grid. Be like no one else.

Go Off Grid with your senior portraits.
Before the lights.
Before the jersey.
Before the crowd.
There’s work no one sees.
This Off Grid concept was built around that part of the story — the focus, the discipline, the quiet intensity, and the mindset behind the athlete.
Not just game day.
Not just a uniform.
Not just another senior picture.
This is the work before the moment.
