Tonight's ruck club launch coincides with the launch of the Substack! Because I just don't know how else to put all the information about events and everything else into one place that everyone has access to, regardless of whether or not they have an account (I'm looking at you, all things Meta...).
I've just launched the Bellingham Ruck Club Substack, where I'll be sharing local events PLUS virtual ruck challenges each week. Whether you're in Bellingham and able to join, or somewhere else and want some remote training buddies, we'd love to have you there!
p.s. It's free! 😊
Welcome everyone, to Bellingham's Ruck Club! Not sure if the only or the first, but most definitely the best.
After three years, I've finally started this, and I'm excited to build this community!
Because not everyone is on facebook or instagram, I've started a substack for the Ruck Club. Whether or not this is sustainable long-term, I don't know, but it seemed the like simplest way to compile information in one place, with weekly newsletters -- without building an entire website from scratch.
My intention is to use that as a hub, with a weekly announcement that includes the weekly meet-up in Bellingham, plus a remote ruck challenge (to do while you're traveling, or if you don't live in Bellingham). Ideally, I'd love if that's where your community engagement lives, but we will see how it goes the next few months.
If you don't want to make an account, then you can sign up for the newsletter without doing so. And if you DO make an account, you can join the comments and chats to share progress, goals, and inspiration.
Otherwise, facebook and instagram will be available, but my own focus will be primarily on substack because I only have so much time to devote to things.
See comments for the Substack info, and see you there!
