I knew that Alaya was a kindred soul when she showed up to a meeting with me with a handmade pen and paper Filofax type planner. She put the same creativity, heart, and intention behind her wedding and it was amazing. Can't thank this kind couple for their trust and sharing their story with Ricky and me! Ashleigh requested that they meet up at a bar for their first date, rather than a restaurant, in case the date went south and she needed a quick getaway. Little did she know she was about to meet her future best friend, adventure partner, and the kind of guy who still "boops" people on the nose, and does the old "hey what's that" while pointing to your shirt so he can drag his finger up your face (please tell me you remember that, or am I dating myself?!). Are you smiling as big as I am right now? I love that people like Ashleigh and Kevin exist. . .down to earth, kind hearted, adventurous, and they wanted their wedding day to feel good for them, not just look good. Although I'd say they looked amazing. So thankful we got to be there on one of the best days of their lives!

Spending an afternoon with these two was just so much fun, and the photos that we got are just the cherry on top. I really love a good “how we met” story, and Aerial and Austin’s is one of the best I’ve ever heard. It involves many years of friendship and persistence. I won’t say anymore because Austin can tell it much better than I can, and he’ll have you laughing at the same time as renewing your hope in real and genuine love in these times. I’m so honored to be on this journey with these two beautiful souls!

I hope you have this kind of joy on your wedding day. 😭 The way that people showed up for these two on their wedding day, the overwhelming joy and excitement and love in this room, you can tell that Chancey and Tahveyei are the kind of people who show up for others constantly. And to see it poured back on them was amazing. I feel beyond honored to get to have witnessed and captured this day for these two.

One day you’re just living your life and renewing your golf cart tag, and you meet a police officer covering the receptionist who was out…and you click instantly and before you know it you’re having dinner and drinks. It’s easy to see why Nicole and Dylan were inseparable after first meeting. They are both are warm and fun and totally up for an adventure. Happy first day of spring! Spring always catches me by surprise because I forget how much I love it. Every. Single. Year. 😆 This fun engagement shoot at was the epitome of the joy of spring and I love clients who are willing to lay in the clover for me for the shot that makes me so happy I squeal. ❤️

I’ve been thinking about how, three months from now, I’ll get to be present on the best day of this beautiful couple’s life, and that feels like such a gift.
It’s also just a gift that I get to spend time with people like Taylor and Joseph—people who have a way of focusing on what matters most and letting everything else fall into place. I loved hearing more of their really sweet love story and capturing in their photos how naturally they seem to be at home in each other’s arms. It’s the best.
Their engagement session ended up being one of those days where things didn’t exactly go according to plan. We had intended to shoot in a really cute downtown area, only to arrive and find it absolutely overrun with pirates (IYKYK). So we had to think fast and change locations, all while the Doppler radar was lighting up in yellow and red and slowly creeping our way.
But Taylor and Joseph were completely unfazed and ready to just enjoy the craziness together, and somehow we ended up with some really fantastic photos.
Honestly, sessions like this are my favorite. When couples are relaxed, focused on each other, and willing to roll with whatever the day brings, the photos always turn out even better than planned. Couples like Taylor and Joseph are exactly why I love doing this—because when you focus on what matters most, everything else tends to fall into place.
I have just one wedding date left for 2026, and I’d love to spend it with a couple like this. ✨

Pop up portraits announcement!!!

I fell in love with this field about a month ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about it! We have such a short time before this glowy soft field becomes lush and green (and buggy?!) again. . .so I decided to release some very last minute portrait sessions for a few weekends this month! I'll be releasing booking info tomorrow at 4:00 pm central.
