After a week of solid fog, I finally got to photograph the Milky Way tonight. There aren’t many chances left this season. In October, it’s nearly straight up as the sky gets dark after sunset, compared to the low arch earlier in the year. Soon its bright core will be out of view for winter, coming back in the early morning sky around February or March.
