There is something powerful about a room full of women who show up confidently, celebrate one another, and make space for each other to shine at the 50th Anniversary BAC Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated Gala.

This image captures more than beautiful gowns and joyful smiles. It reflects connection, sisterhood, confidence, and the beauty of women standing together.

Through my lens, I am reminded that motivation doesn't always come from a speech or a standing ovation. Sometimes, it comes from the woman standing beside you, the encouragement she offers, or the example she sets simply by being herself.

The 2nd Annual H.O.O.P.S. 4 Change, presented by C.H.A.N.G.E.S., brought people together for a meaningful day of sports, encouragement, fellowship, and positive community engagement.

Held in the heart of Bakersfield at the Friendship House Community Center, this event was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Behind this vision is Jaubrae Dixon, founder of C.H.A.N.G.E.S. His story is a reminder that meaningful change often begins with one person choosing to turn a vision, passion, and personal experiences into something that can positively impact others. Through C.H.A.N.G.E.S. and initiatives like H.O.O.P.S. 4 Change, Jaubrae is creating opportunities for young people, bringing people together, and helping build a stronger community. His work demonstrates that leadership isn't simply about having an idea—it's about taking action, opening doors, and inspiring others to become part of the change.

At the Noel Alexandria Foundation’s 9th Annual Running with the Angels 5K Run/Walk, community, compassion, and purpose came together for a meaningful day of connection and impact.

This group of nursing students from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) represents the next generation of healthcare professionals—individuals preparing to make a difference through service, knowledge, and care for others.

Their presence at Running with the Angels is a beautiful reminder that inspiration can be found in the people who choose to serve, support their communities, and dedicate themselves to helping others thrive.

Through the EMIT principle of INSPIRE, we recognize that investing in the next generation means encouraging their dreams, celebrating their commitment, and reminding them that their future contributions matter.

✨ Behind Every Great Experience Are People Who Make It Happen.

Sometimes, storytelling means slowing down and taking the time to recognize the people working behind the scenes to create a memorable experience.

During my time at Legacy of Mercy Hospital, I captured moments featuring the bartenders, servers, and valet team—professionals whose service, hospitality, and attention to detail help make an event welcoming and seamless.

From the valet team greeting guests and assisting with arrivals, to the servers caring for guests and the bartenders preparing refreshments, each person plays an important role in creating an experience worth remembering.

These images remind us that every role has value and every contribution matters. While the spotlight often shines on the occasion itself, there are countless individuals working together to bring it to life.
