It's been a few days, and I am still sad. I've not yet received a shipment from B&H, but it is scheduled. So in awhile, I shall again become happy.

Not as sad a story as reality. The table I do all my work on has had the laundry on it for two days. But the laundry has been washed and is folded and all put away. So, game on, in awhile, after the delivery. In the meantime, I have a small 5x7 ( wanted to put into a frame for some time. Printed it as a test print and it turned out beautiful, so it gets a frame today, before my shipment gets here. Then later today I will mount the 13x19 to some foamcore for my bins. Then, the ink.

This little 5x7 is printed on some matte paper. It needs a little frame.

My printer stopped working. Seems I am out of Grey ink, and get this, black photo ink. It was like just the other day when I ran out of ink. If I can remember correctly, black photo ink was one of those cartridges. I am sad now, until Wednesday.

Woke up pretty early, even for me. This might make it difficult to stay awake late tonight. What's the possibility of a nap. My guess is in the low single digits.

So I'm awake, maybe I need to print a few more bin photos. :)

Collectors Night has become a thing in my life.

All the new art is up! Third Friday Art Walk tomorrow (Aug. 21) at VFW Post 1 Art Gallery. Open at 5:30 pm - 841 Santa Fe Dr. in Denver. Two floors of curated art! Meet and talk to the artists.

What have I been doing the past few days? Not much photography. Lack of ink took me out this last time. It does seem to be a frequent problem. Last week I replaced a cartridge, noted several others that were getting close. Then Sunday I printed another black and white print on mat paper, 13x19. Seems it soaked up all the rest of the black ink. I just replaced that cartridge the last week or two.

On a related side track. why do I still have three mat black cartridges, while I seem to be running out of every other color. I print a lot of black and white photographs, and many to most are on mat paper. I seem to be confused about some things.

First Friday was great. Met some really great people there. Most of the time was with people that were Rennies. What I found hard to believe were how many of them were not from Colorado. About half of the Rennies were from out of state, just visiting. I was so surprised.

And then there was the open call on Saturday. As a departure from all the other stuff besides portraiture I have been showing, I brought in three of of my favorites. Had several other artists stop by and comment on the portrait of the one model I have never published. Every one of them made the same basic comment. They liked it because it was a black and white. Well, we shall see.

Tomorrow is First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe. I currently have half a dozen prints at the Veteran Arts Council Gallery. Because of the just concluded Colorado Renaissance Festival I decided to share photographs of past festivals.

If you are still undecided about what to do Friday night, the Art District on Santa Fe is a rather popular spot. Stop in to the VFW for an adult beverage while enjoying some art.

The First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe is next Friday and I have some Colorado Renaissance Festival framed photos already up on the walls. I printed another five little prints this morning, and mounted and matted another eight, bringing the total of little photos up to about 30. It is my intention to print a few bigs and mount them to foam core.

It's about ten in the morning, and today is the last day of the festival, so it is about time to set up my camera and take my shower.

The most dangerous point in time for a photograph, is in the transportation to and from the gallery. Just found another one bit the dust while unpacking and prepping for storage.
