The ones where most people would see the photo and think I posted it by mistake but the truth is, you take better photos and get REAL and HONEST reactions when you are being yourself and those make for the best photos and memories.

POST 3: KILLDEER

Now. You may be wondering what a killdeer is? Well, I'm glad you asked, it's a bird that can be found on the ground hopping around. Often times, when a killdeer feels threatened or if their nest is being messed with, they will acted injured to lure away the predator(s).

In this picture is a nest of baby killdeers. My class was walking around outside when we noticed the killdeers acting injured. That's when we noticed why! They had a nest nearby.

FACTS:
- Their call sounds like "kill-deer" which is how they got their name
- you can see them on golf courses, meadows, pastures, dry uplands, and even parking lots and roofs
- they help control insect populations
