Gideon | Lincoln Academy | Senior

Gideon's session was all about keeping it simple & laid back—and that we did! But simple doesn't EVER mean boring when I'm behind the camera!😉

It was a warm fall afternoon with a little wind and lots of sun, and we made our way around the entire place! Brick walls, fall colors, golden hues, and lots of laughter surrounded us!🍂😄

Gideon's kind, easy-going, and very smiley personality was a pure JOY to capture! Ending the evening with a little photo opportunity with his adorable Mom, Jane, made it easy to see where Gideon gets his sweet, fun-loving vibe from... simply FANTASTIC!🙌

🐄🎭 Sneak Peek: Stella | Class of 2027 ✨📸

When a session has TWO parts that are equally compelling and full of stories to tell, but couldn’t be more different…well, that leaves me with quite the dilemma when it comes to deciding which photos belong in this sneak peek!

So, without further ado, let’s “pull back the curtain” for a peek into Stella’s senior session…or maybe I should say, let’s “open the barn door”!🎬

Don’t take my word for it! Check out how one smart, talented, funny, incredible young lady can go from sitting out in the fields with her sweet cow, Dandy, to captivating the attention of the room while singing on stage!

Let me back up to my initial call with Stella and her Mom, Virginia. These two were excited and SO much fun to chat with right out of the gate! As Virginia talked about her daughter and I heard Stella’s genuine zest for life, I knew we had something special in the works.😍

They wanted her senior photos on their beautiful farm, but they also wanted to capture her love and passion for the performing arts.

And I KNEW this was going to be EPIC!

And EPIC it was! 🍂✨

We started with those gorgeous fall-colored hues, tucked into the perfect spots right on their own beautiful farm from the fields to their front porch, we had so much to work with!

Then came our trip downtown to head down to Rangeley Friends of the Arts where Stella has spent countless hours and had me feeling like I’d stepped right into a scene from one of those “small town, big heart” series.🎞️

And THEN there was Justin, who showed up to do the lights!

I mean, C’MON…capturing this naturally beautiful soul out on stage with our very own personal light show?! Could it get any better? 🎤✨

Thank you, Justin, for helping make that part of the evening even more incredible!

Stella, this was a truly magical evening, and I can’t wait to start sharing more of the magic we created together! There’s SO much more to come! 💛

✨📸 Sneak Peek: Keura | Winthrop High School | Class of 2027 📸✨

Some people you meet just make you smile. For me, Keura was 100% one of those people! Even outdoors, this girl was “lighting up the room.” ☀️ 🙌

Totally on board with all of my ideas, Keura was ready to jump right in…and her Mom, Amber, was right there with us!

“Heeyyy, Mom…can you throw some leaves?” ✅

“Can you hold this leaf right here in front of my lens?” ✅

“Can you run back to the car and grab the hairbrush?” ✅

Mom had both Keura’s and my back throughout the entire session! ☺️ Thanks for being such a great sport, Amber! And Keura had an amazing support team cheering her on, including a visit from her grandparents, too. 🥰

There’s just something about photographing someone when you can tell they’re HAVING FUN right alongside you! And how do I know Keura was having fun? After several takes of throwing leaves in the air, I was helping pick little leaf fragments out of her hair when she said, “This is SO much FUN!”

Awwwweee, sweet Keura…THAT is music to my ears! 🥹💛

And not only was I in agreement, but so was the camera! GIRL, you were SHINING out there! ✨🍂

Keura, I’m wishing you the BEST in your senior year and beyond! I hope you love this little glimpse of the magic we created together and the wonderful photos still to come! 💛

📸 Sneak Peek: Kate | Skowhegan High School | Class of 2027 ✨

From the time I first talked with Kate’s Mom, Lisa, to getting out there and working with Kate may have only been a matter of days…buuuttt, that didn’t stop Kate and I from jumping in full force and creating & capturing PURE GOLD out on the lake! 🙌

Was it summer? Or was it fall? Honestly, it didn’t matter! The sun was shining, the temperatures were warm but not hot, and we had a beautiful lakeside setting to work with. I took Kate to a PERFECT spot where she could be surrounded by nature and really SHINE! 🌿☀️

I can only imagine that moving to a new state and starting at a new school during your senior year comes with its own set of challenges. I was honored to play a small part in helping Kate get out in front of my camera and experience the full senior photo experience!

As we chatted throughout the evening, I learned just how much Kate enjoys Maine’s summer swimming spots, which made me love this particular lake setting for her even more. Sometimes, the right location just fits!😍

Kate, I’m wishing you all the best as you make your way through your senior year! I hope you love your sneak peek as much as I loved creating these photos with you! ✨

🌿 Sneak Peek: Kodi | Cony High School | Class of 2027 📸

I was once again blessed to meet and work with another beautiful family! After chatting with his parents, Travis & Kathy, we decided to head to a location that is beautifully curated with gardens and landscapes—making sure we could still pull in plenty of those “pops of color” we were looking for.

And I’d say we hit the jackpot! 🌿🌸

Don’t take my word for it…check out just how stunning these September gardens were! I love using a location to its fullest potential and finding all the little spots that allow us to create a gallery filled with variety. This place gave us SO much to work with, and the results? Simply gorgeous.

Now, Kodi— like many Senior boys who come before my camera— may not have been exactly “excited” about having his photos taken. 😂 And honestly, that’s not unusual!

But within minutes, we were capturing PURE GOLD...from his stoic, bold vibe to THAT smile that could light up a room! Kodi, you were great out there, and I loved seeing all the different sides of you come through.

And of course, we had to capture a few with Mom & Dad, too…and well, let’s just say they were ALL amazing in front of my lens!

✨ Sneak Peek: Brandon | Cony High School | Senior Session 📸

I’m excited to share this sneak peek with you all! Brandon’s love for the outdoors—and fishing in particular—steered our location, and this spot was truly a PERFECT CATCH for Brandon…no pun intended, lol! 🎣 😂

Not only was Brandon kind, friendly, and easy-going right out the gate, but he very casually added some instant action to his session!

About 15 minutes into the session, we headed down to the dock where his brother, Isaac, was fishing with his brother's rod. I was looking around at the trees and the lighting, getting ready for our next shot, when Brandon casually took the rod from his brother, headed out to the end of the dock, and threw a line in.

Mind you…it had been SECONDS.😂

I’m still looking around, figuring out where I want Brandon to stand, when I hear Isaac, who was standing right behind me, say, “Yep, he’s got a fish.”

I look over and there’s Brandon REELING IT IN.

WHAT?! It had been less than 60 seconds!😲

And just like that, I went from scoping out the best place and angle to documenting the moment exactly as it was—Brandon catching a bass off the dock in less than 60 seconds flat!

What a way to get a session going! 🙌

This night was definitely about Brandon, but his Mom, Amy, had planned for some family photos, too! And Amy’s ability to roll with the punches definitely came in handy because session day brought us one WINDY September day!

I’m talking strong September gusts that were picking up furniture and plants in the yard and moving them over to the neighbors! 🌬️

When I asked Amy what she wanted to do, she simply said, “Let’s go for it!”

And so we did.

Driving over, I honestly would have thought otherwise, as tree limbs were falling and the gusts were howling. But once we made our way down the long driveway to the spot on the lake, it was quite peaceful in comparison. Sheltered by a sea of large pines, it was beautiful.🌲

It was certainly still windy at times, but Amy handled it like a champ! And the entire family was so easy-going and fun to spend the evening with.

Brandon was awesome out there, and I want to thank all of you—Brandon, Isaac, Amy & Ivan—for being absolutely FABULOUS! 💙

📸 Sneak Peek: Camden | Searsport High School | Class of ’27 ✨

Camden’s Senior Session in Camden—couldn’t get much better than this! This location holds so many special memories for he and his family, so it was the perfect place to document this time in his life. 💙

Sneaking in glimpses of hanging out in Camden Harbor to experiencing the sweeping views overlooking the harbor from the top of Mt. Battie…let’s just say, it was EPIC! 🌊✨

Camden and I spent the evening finding all the little spots and nooks that really pulled pieces of that beautiful, scenic Camden vibe into his session. From the harbor to the mountaintop views, we had plenty to work with!

Along with his parents, Dawn and Darrell, Camden also brought along his girlfriend, Madeline. And of course, we had to include her for some adorable couple shots! 🥰

Thanks so much, Dawn, for choosing me to capture this special time in Camden’s life! It was great meeting you all & learning about your family’s personal connection with Camden, Maine along the way. 💙

📸Sneak Peek: Trenton | Lawrence High School | Class of ’27📸

Keeping it natural and casual for Trenton was the plan…and it couldn’t have worked out much better!

Trenton has an AMAZING gallery that ranges from trees, benches & brick walls to wild-growing fields all along the pond, where we even captured a few photos of Trenton in his element—fishing. 🎣

And then we ended things on a fun note when Trenton asked to bring in his car for a few! A sun-setting scene on a dirt road, and smiles from a boy whose Dad had prepared me by saying Trenton was going to think 10 minutes would be enough time to take photos. 😂

So, of course, I had to ask Trenton how he thought the session went at the end. I told him I bet his Dad was going to be surprised that he stayed until sunset, and Trenton quickly answered:

“I never even looked at the time all night.”

That one little sentence said it ALL. ❤️

And honestly, that’s exactly what I love to hear. When you can start a session thinking you’re not really sure about having your photos taken…and end the night not even realizing how much time has passed? That’s a win in my book! 🙌

Good Evening, Friends! 🫶

I’m stepping a little outside of my usual photography posts today to share something that has become really important to me and my family.

I’m participating in the Dempsey Challenge coming right up! This will be my first year, and honestly, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Like so many things in life, though, it had always landed on my “someday” list.

Well…life has a way of moving the things that matter most right to the front of the line. ❤️

This year, cancer has touched our family in a very personal way, and so “someday” became this year.

I’ll be walking alongside my daughter-in-law, Madi. If you’d like to contribute, any amount truly means so much. This is an incredible organization that does so much for people and families navigating cancer. And if donating isn’t in the cards, a little encouragement, a share, or simply keeping Madi in your thoughts means more than you know.🫶

So here I am…Year One, 💗

Thank you, as always, for being such an amazing part of my life and my little corner of the world— I’m so grateful for you.

📸✨ Sneak Peek: Meghan | Senior | Class of ’27 ✨📸

It’s been a SEASON of meaningful locations for my Seniors!!! And Meghan’s session was no exception. 💛

Meghan’s session was in Harpswell! When your family’s summer home is right on the stunning beachfront of the ocean, it’s pretty obvious WHY she picked this spot! 🌊

And being so close to so many wonderful options—we’re talking groomed trails, miles of wild-field options AND a beach walk along a cove…what more could you ask for?!

I LOVED photographing along this coastline and spending the evening with Meghan, her Mom and siblings. There were plenty of laughs along the way, too!💛

As beautiful as the scenery was to work with, and with the low tide making things pretty fabulous, there was just one little thing we had to contend with…the WIND! And it was in FULL FORCE on this particular evening!🌬️😂 But we worked through it, and Meghan was an absolute CHAMP as she swiped her hair out of her face for what seemed like the hundredth time!

It didn't stop us from getting AMAZING photos!

We also captured the importance of Meghan’s journey with Girl Scouts throughout her life. We showcased her many stages and achievements over the years with her vests decorated with badges and pins. WOW, look at all those!!! 👏

And then Meghan casually said, “This isn’t even all of them!”

YOU GO, GIRL!💚

Going through the photos afterward, I couldn’t help but want to showcase some of the sweet, genuine moments with her sweet Mom, Amy & smiles from Meghan’s session.
