We are dynamic beings, and that means that our endeavors are also multi-faceted and complex. You can be both happy and and sophisticated and graceful. They don’t cancel each other out and showing all sides of yourself doesn’t prevent you from reaching your target audience. It humanizes you.

I said it at the time and I’ll say it again; this session gave me life. Clients will frequently tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera, and being a photographer doesn’t mean you’re immune to this feeling despite being behind and in front of the lens frequently. But I mean, come ON. Lauren looks like an absolute goddess in this portrait.

One of my favorite👏 portraits👏 ever👏. At the very least I want to blow it up and put it in the middle of Toomer’s Corner, but Time’s Square sounds better to me.

This portrait communicates SO MUCH to me. Honestly I just don’t even know how to write this post because I’m just in awe of these two. A breakdown of its elements is going to have to happen.

Throw back Thursday to this amazing family session. Dr. Linton came to K-State as the new president in 2022 and he and his wife Sally have done an absolutely incredible job. Their presence permeates throughout the University culture and I am proud to know them. Of course as the Kansas State University president, a portrait in the beautiful Flint Hills was a must.
