A summer sailboat engagement session I think I’ll never stop daydreaming about. Ava said sailboat engagement photos had been a dream of hers for a while, and I’m so happy I got to help make it come true. This not only made for great photos, but it was such a fun experience getting to sail around during golden hour! To top it all off, she brought the cutest custom life preserver inspired by her favorite movie, The Parent Trap! I absolutely loved photographing her and Ryan, and I cannot wait for their wedding next year! 🩵⛵️

I love when a wedding feels like a true reflection of the couple.

Riann and Chris did this so well, weaving their story into the design of their day. Just like their personalities & relationship, their wedding blended English luxury charm and US southern class. A European-style venue in East Tennessee, the Woodlands set the tone perfectly. Instead of a cocktail hour, they treated their guests to an afternooon tea to honor Chris’s English roots.

But my favorite part was when they danced to “Home” at the end of the night — the song they used to listen to after traveling overseas just to spend time together. Hearing “home is wherever I’m with you” and knowing they lived those words while they were oceans apart? 😭

The long distance days are over now, and their day was so beautifully honored not just their marriage, but their two worlds blending into one. 🩵

March has always been special to me since it’s my birth month — but this year it’s sweeter for two reasons:
