Jenn and I had a blast photographing Camille and Brian a few weeks back on their big day. It was a perfect early autumn day in Knoxville (on a bye week!...haha) for the occasion. We started the day at the church grabbing some details as everyone got ready. We then ventured to a gorgeous nearby house, that was to be the reception site, for a very emotional first look. The wedding party soon joined us and there may have been some pretty sweet footwear involved! We returned back to this house following the ceremony for some highly competitive corn hole games; who knew scoring corn hole was so hard?! As the reception would down, Brian had one last trick up his sleeve. Unbeknownst to his beautiful bride, he had planned a short shoot at Calhoun's on the river...the exact site of their engagement. Fantastic touch my friend! We had a great time with you guys; hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

As a new associate photographer, I’m proud to present my first wedding with Finch Photo! When I first met Kayce and Jared last year to shoot their engagement session, we drove up to Cherohala Skyway to get some great pictures of them and the mountains. The whole session was a great experience. Since the weather is sometimes unpredictable up there, we didn’t know what to expect. We found A LOT of fog! It definitely didn’t stop us and it actually made some great pictures. I could very much feel their love for one another in every picture; then and now. When I arrived at their wedding venue, I knew everything was going to turn out perfect. Legacy Springs offers a great location for any kind of wedding with acres of beautiful trees, fields, and water. Both Kayce and Jared’s family/friends were also welcoming and made the whole experience great. I’m thankful I could capture it! I now consider them my good friends.

It’s a beautiful & fortunate experience when your business grows, especially when you have the right people working alongside you. This is certainly the case for Finch Photo. I am thrilled to announce an addition to our Finch Photo team, Jon Moore, Associate Photographer. It’s possible that you’ll never meet a nicer gentleman than Jon Moore. His winsome & ever-positive personality immediately made an impact on Finch Photo clients. Rarely do you find someone so gregarious & easy to relate to. And on the photography side, he is rare blend of technical precision & inventiveness. The mix results in a beautiful outcome. And let’s face it, he can rock a bow-tie like few can. Growing up in East TN, Jon has seemingly always had a knack for all things creative. After graduating high-school, he attended Watkins College of Art & Design in Nashville, before moving back East. And for much of 2014, Jon has been Ben’s main assistant photographer & has quickly assumed the position of Associate Photographer & Photo Editor. His work is a beautiful blend of both digital & analog/film photography. And we dare you to find someone who can speak with as much camera gear knowledge as this fella… and cars, music, and pretty much anything for that matter. He’s practically a walking “Jeopardy” show. Ha.

Doughnuts were served at the reception...and that's all I really need to say to let you know how amazing this wedding was! I (Alan) have known Ann Catherine and Asher for a few months now dating back to our fall engagement shoot in Asheville, NC. While they still make their home in North Carolina, for their wedding they returned to Sevierville to be a bit closer to family and friends. We started the day at Ann Catherine's parent's house as everyone was getting ready. We then ventured into Sevierville to grab some absolutely stunning bridal images. When Asher and the guys arrived, they took it to an entirely different level with Star Trek cufflinks! Following the ceremony, we grabbed some alone time with the bride and groom and then partied the night away in Pigeon Forge. Seriously, I'll let those images speak for themselves! Jenn and I are so excited for you all to see your wedding preview; thanks for inviting us to be a part of your big day!

It's been a while since I've blogged & it's been for good reason. Many of our weddings are being considered for publication so it can often be a waiting game. However, I wanted to share one of my favorite sessions ever. Although I can't show the wedding photos, Wayne & Lauren's Day-After Wedding Session is on the blog today. Few times in my life have I photographed a couple so effortlessly fitting for one another.
