Some shots from yesterdays short chase. Posted up near the bridge in Arcade and then ran for a few quick shots near Genesee Road. Trying to find some different angles and views every time I chase #18. Gotta keep it interesting for myself.

Hope everyone has a great week! See you soon.

Woke up mid sleep to catch last night's lunar ecplise. Although I do not have the proper equipment to do the moon justice, it was still quite an awesome sight. I got to have some fun with the Moon and some trees before she started to disappear. Anyone else get a chance to see the eclipse?

'Sunflower Sunrise'

Golden heads lift toward the breaking day,
A sea of sunflowers, bright and bold,
Their faces turned to catch the ray
That paints the clouds in fire and gold.

Above, the sky is torn with light.
Soft blues and oranges in flight,
Dark clouds drifting, soft and slow,
While morning’s fire begins to glow.

A quiet road curves past the field,
Where power lines and distant trees
Stand watch as colors softly yield
To dawn’s warm, endless mysteries.

Green stems sway in the gentle air,
Each bloom a small sun of its own,
Holding the day’s first hope with care
In this wide, golden, living throne.

Here, in this field at sunrise hour,
The world feels new, the light feels pure.
A quiet gift of nature’s power,
Simple, radiant, and sure.

Hope everyone has a great Friday! We are certainly off to a grand start. Sunflowers and Sun for the win!

Anybody been to the Bicentennial Tower near Presque Isle? It is one of my favorite mini road trips to make. Overdue for a trip of any kind. Motion is the lotion they say.

These shots are from an overnight trip 2 years ago. Man, time is really slipping by. Hopefully I can get my ass back in gear before the leaves start changing.🤞

Hope everyone has a great Thursday! Summer is winding down quick. 😔

Well I went down a rainbow rabbit hole yesterday after going through a much overdue editing session last night, (Now I am only 3 years behind 😔) and found one of my favorite shots from my time living in Gardiner. This is a shot of Roy G. Biv showing off the pot of gold that is the Roosevelt Arch. I need to get back here so bad, my heart aches. Hopefully I will be on the road again soon.

Happy pumpkin spice latte season everyone. They better be cheaper than the Bills PSLs!

All this rain today had me wishing for rainbows. Unfortunately there wasn't much sun today. To compensate, here is a colorful shot that I took almost a year ago to the day with my favorite tree on Genesee Road, IYKYK. I am not looking forward to cooler temperatures yet. Hoping for a few more months of decent weather before I start chasing the leaves.

A few stills from #18 heading back from Curriers yesterday. This engine is just so dang photogenic.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

#18 crossing over Cattaraugus Creek yesterday. I can not get enough of this engine. If I ever make it big, haha, I am gonna make sure the second steam engine in Arcade sees new life. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Like, comment, share! Hahaha or don't. Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend.
