2025 has been a year of gratitude, learning, and growth. Every performance and collaboration has come through time, dedication, and the support of many people along the way.
On April 26, I performed Bach’s Mass in B minor in Jakarta, Indonesia, as a bass soloist, experiencing once again the depth and power of sacred music.
On May 17, I was invited for the first time by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra to perform excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP), alongside international singers.
On June 8, I sang at the opening of the new sanctuary of Kepong Grace Church in Kuala Lumpur, offering music in gratitude and hope for a new beginning.
On June 14, I took part in a fundraising concert for a children’s home in my hometown, serving as an organizing committee member and one of the main singers, working toward a goal of RM150,000.
On June 27, I presented my first solo recital in collaboration with Taipei YinQi, an important milestone in my musical journey.
From July 3 to 18, I joined the Jakarta Symphony Orchestra on its Japan and United States tour as a chorister and quartet soloist. Performing in different cities and cultures was a meaningful and humbling experience:
• Tokyo — Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall
• San Jose — California Theatre
• Los Angeles — Walt Disney Concert Hall
• San Diego — Shadow Mountain Community Church
• New York — Carnegie Hall (Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage)
• Philadelphia — Kimmel Center (Marian Anderson Hall)
• Washington, DC — Strathmore Music Center
On October 11, I performed with fellow singers from Sabah at the Sabah Art Gallery, reconnecting with my roots through music.
From December 19 to 20, I performed with Singapore Lyric Opera in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Victoria Theatre, Singapore, in the role of The Speaker.
Looking back, I am deeply thankful—for every opportunity, and for everyone who has offered support along the way.
May music continue to connect people and move us forward.
