A WEE BOOKING REALITY CHECK

This is your friendly reminder from the one-woman business behind the camera:

Please don’t ghost me after we’ve spent days planning your wedding/event together. 😂

I am absolutely happy to answer your questions. All of them. The weird ones. The “what if we…” ones. The timeline ones. The 47-message conversations about how everything is going to work. That’s part of the job, and I actually enjoy it.

What I don’t enjoy is getting to the point where everything is sorted, we’ve had a giant conversation about your day, I’ve blocked out the date in my head, and then… Nothing.

✨️ Your date is NOT officially booked until your deposit is paid. ✨️

I can’t magically turn an enquiry into a booking because we’ve had a lovely chat about it.

The slightly less funny part is that while we’re having all those conversations, I may have another person enquiring about the same date. If I’m expecting your booking to come through, I may turn them away.

And when you then disappear, I’ve potentially lost both bookings and the income that would have come with them.

I’m not a big photography company with a team of people and endless dates available. It’s me. One camera-loving human trying to run a small business and pay the bills.

So if you’ve changed your mind, found another photographer, decided not to go ahead, need more time, or simply got distracted by the chaos of life...

JUST TELL ME ❤️

You won’t offend me. You won’t hurt my feelings. I’d much rather get a “Hey, we’ve decided to go another way” message than spend days wondering or trying to hear back if you’re still booking.

So by all means, ask the questions. Have the chats. Make sure I’m the right photographer for you.

But until that deposit lands, your date is still available to someone else, and that’s what I would like people to know.

Mum + Daughter ❤️

I love photographing sessions like this because it’s not really about getting the perfect photo. It’s about capturing the two of you as you actually are.

The laughs, the cuddles, the silliness, the little looks between them, and all the random moments that happen when you stop worrying about the camera.

Those are usually my favourite photos anyway.

Natural, relaxed and no forced posing. Just you two being you.
