Very gutted to have missed today at NDTA as I woke up with one of the worst migraines I've ever had - especially sorry to those who asked yesterday for photos. I'm so sorry to have missed you.

Been a very busy two days covering NDTA and then editing all day to try get these all up before I head back tomorrow! I focused on obedience on Saturday then headed over to Rally-o, tomorrow I plan to cover Rally-o mainly. So, if I missed you in obedience and you would like photos, please let me know ASAP!

Sadly uploading has gotten stuck so test A, B, & C are missing and since i'm not home I can't restart it 😭 check back tomorrow morning!

Loved the friendly atmosphere and the highlights will show my favourite photos are the ones with big smiles - like this one of Devon & Rumour

I was planning a quiet weekend but I was asked yesterday if I could step in last minute to help a fellow photographer out and of course I said yes! So you will now see me at the National Dog Training Assembly on Saturday and Monday 🥰

If you would like me to capture your dog, please let me know so I can plan accordingly - with the amount of rings running at the same time it is impossible to capture everyone and I would hate for you to miss out if you really wanted photos. I am currently thinking the best approach to capture as many as possible will be to focus on obedience one day, and rally-o the other day, but I will play it by ear and knowing who wants photos is very helpful.

I am also able to do some minishoots on the grounds if wanted

How gorgeous is Penelope! I loved the effort her mum went to to coordinate her & Penelope's outfits to match the blossoms 🌸 Excited to see another of my favourite cavoodles for round two of cherry blossoms on Sunday!

I had such a fun morning yesterday doing my cherry blossom minishoots! The light definitely decided to keep me on my toes by changing with every session, and each dog is of course unique, so there's some lovely variety for me to edit despite all being in the same location 🌸

First up though is the lovely Gertie! Gertie is a foster who is looking for her next home, so she gets some free photos to help show her off 🥰 She is currently out on a trial adoption as of today but if she's caught your eye I hear there are plenty more lovely black beauties over at

If we're ever at the same event and you have a foster dog, please feel free to come ask for some free photos!

If you are looking at these and thinking you missed out on the cherry blossom goodness... I am considering another minishoot day this Saturday 3rd October, which would be in the evening (thank you daylight's savings) but honestly I would actually prefer to do some full shoots here because it's just such a lovely garden with so much opportunity for some more creative shots that a minishoot doesn't allow for! So if you might be interested in a full photoshoot on Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday evening this coming week, please let me know - no travel fee because I'm so keen! This is the last week possible for the blossoms 🌸

A couple of weeks ago I got to meet the gorgeous George! He gave us some beautiful photos and some hilarious action moments but this photo has to be my favourite because of how perfectly it fell together!

We started off on the beach, where it quickly (and not unusually for most dogs!) became clear that he found sitting still for a giant camera lens a little bit weird 😅 So we mixed up still shots, action, and lots of breaks to keep things fun!

Then, as we moved towards the trees, I saw the steps we were about to take and suddenly had this EXACT photo in my head - George looking across with the light from behind spilling down. I was thinking there's no way we'd make it happen without a third person to call his name... but we decided to give it a quick try with no pressure....and as soon as we got George set up a child in the distance started talking! George loves kids, so he looked over at exactly the right moment, and I of course had my camera ready 🥹

Respecting the dog's wishes, working with what they give us, being ready to capture the perfect moment the second it happens... that's what my shooting philosophy is all about.

Photoshoots should be FUN, low pressure, and stress free 🥰

I was going to skip Upper Hutt in the search of this thing called work-life balance... but someone reminded me there were a bunch of baby dogs entering the ring for the first or second time, so I had to come up for the morning yesterday! I may have left my camera on the highest shots per second setting it has, creating the work of an entire show from one morning 🫣 But it was worth it for seeing moments like this one 🥹

Woops... I just realised I completely forgot to remind you all about the deadline (this Saturday) for ordering hoopers photos to have 50c from each photo go back to DAWG! To make up for it I'll extend it until midnight this Saturday 🥰

Dodie and I tested out the blossoms on Sunday and they're starting to bloom, which means they should be in their full glory for my mini session weekend 🌸

I had to add a few slots to Saturday which now has just one left, while no one's gone for Sunday yet so I've decided to make that a back up day instead. If I have multiple people let me know they'd like to book for Sunday I'll open it up again 😊

I have also had interest in the following weekend so it is likely I might do one day then, but I am waiting to see what happens with the weather. Let me know if you might be interested and if slots becomes available you will be the first to know
