I'm looking forward to traveling down to Ōtautahi Christchurch next weekend for the annual NZ Society of Translators & Interpreters conference with .

This industry has such incredible people! I was grateful to photograph the event last year and was blown away by the depth of expertise and caring present in every single keynote, breakout session, and discussion. This type of work is so important, especially for vulnerable communities who rely on translators and interpreters in times of stress or hardship (eg at a hospital bedside, in the legal system etc).

Can't wait to see everyone again and support this mahi.

Every time I see these pink bins around town I get so happy. 😍 It has been such a treat to go to events like the ballet, Ed Sheeran, Beervana, Cuba D**a, over the past few years and see how little waste there is because of the .nz reusables system!! 🔄 🌏

When we were starting Reusabowl (reusable takeaway containers biz) back in 2019, I remember the idea of a city-wide reusables system and commercial washing facility felt like a far-off dream! I am SO so impressed with the incredible people behind Fill Good who have never let that dream of a waste-free Aotearoa falter and who have championed this solution (and many others before it) into being!

It was such a career highlight to do this product/facility photography for them last year and it felt like a pinch me moment.

Give Fill Good a follow, hire them for your next event, and show your support by choosing to reuse. Many small choices make big change. 🎉🎉 Go team go!

Such a treat to photograph the Connecting for Change conference last week with and . The event brings together community, health and social service providers from across the motu.

This is my third year and it just keeps getting better. I'm in awe of the resilient people behind these organisations and not-for-profits and the change they're making in our communities.

A particular highlight for me this year was getting to hear keynotes from several wāhine Māori entrepreneurs (doing AMAZING things!). And also about 'Bro Talk' a campaign that's bringing mental health and nervous system regulation support to men to help reduce whānau violence. There was also a political panel with all parties represented and a unique breakout session where representatives from 10 government agencies sat at round tables and invited discussions.

Thanks for having me team!

Bees! On the roof!

Perks of the job 📷 and yet another bonus of working at .co coworking space — is getting to see things like this!

Last week we got to check out the new urban hives that have landed atop 57 Willis.

rescues bees from around the city and rehomes them to rooftops near you. They turn underutilised space into a biodiversity asset. As a business, school or residence you can get a ‘rental hive’ where they take care of all the details, and you get to enjoy the biodiversity bees bring. Beehives can even contribute to your business’ Green Star Certification. How cool.

I’m in love 🐝😍🐝

Big thanks to Jessie from the team for the tour.

Another excellent event this week hosted by 📸✨

“1 Sector, 6 Parities Respond” was a political panel on the future of Aotearoa’s community sector ahead of the next election. Glad to see all parties engaging in this important discussion.

Community Networks Aotearoa is an umbrella organisation for local community networks — with members from not-for-profits and voluntary social service organisations all over the country. If you work in the sector and aren’t connected to their incredible events and resources yet, check them out.

Thanks for having me team!

Playing around with self portraits and new backdrops this week.

I’ve been feeling the change of seasons lately — adjusting to shorter days, slower nights, a shift in energy, and remembering it’s okay to not always be busy.

This colour felt fitting for cozy season on the horizon. Autumn is here. 🍷🍁🍂🍓♥️

This month wraps up the launch of book: Voices for Climate Solutions in Aotearoa 🌏📖
I’m incredibly proud to be part of this project, photographing the Welly-based authors for their chapters with .bvg

Such a treat to reconnect with everyone last month for the Welly launches too. Here are some favourites 📸from events at Parliament, .co, and the new central library .

Continually inspired by the people who come to the .day__cleanbeauty pop-up!

This is Dr Juhaina Al Ruheili 😍 .juhainaa

Juhaina is a hormone expert who specialises in holistic women’s health.

She’s supporting women in all stages, and especially those 35+ to navigate peri/menopause so they can reclaim their energy, confidence and sense of self.

Originally from Oman, she came to NZ and initially trained as a GP before embarking on this journey. She is also a palliative care doctor, and an incredible mother!

She runs her own clinic called Sakina — a safe haven where women can reclaim their intimate health and well-being.

Juhaina, thank you for the incredible contribution you’re offering the world through your mahi.

Portraits for the incredible Dr Ipsh*ta Mandal-Johnson . I’m lucky to work alongside Ipsh*ta at .co and am continually in awe of the energy she brings into the space, the impact she’s made in her work in Biotech at such a young age, and the fact that she’s also a mum.

Last week Ipsh*ta was named as one the Young Global Leaders, Class of 2026!

This is a cohort of under-40 leaders from around the world. To date, the community includes more than 1,400 members from over 120 countries, among them Jacinda Ardern. Over the next three years, the Class of 2026 will take part in a structured leadership programme, aligned with the Forum’s mission to move the state of the world forward, and tackle global challenges.

Celebrating you Ipsh*ta!! You inspire me.
Thank you for trusting me with your photos.
