Sometimes photography takes you to places you never imagined, and I can finally share some exciting news (and yes, I'm still pinching myself!).

From 4 July through to October, I'll be exhibiting a collection of earlier and recent work, titled "Interbeing", at the opening of the new Graphistudio Castle Ceconi Art Gallery in Italy.

I'm especially honoured to be exhibiting alongside Tony Hewitt and Peter Eastway, whose exhibition "No Place | No Time" will be the gallery's headline exhibition, with Steve Gosling and myself invited as featured guest artists.

To be part of the opening of a beautiful new gallery dedicated to photographic art, in such a remarkable setting, is both humbling and exciting. I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity and still a little amazed that my work will be part of this special event.

It's a privilege to once again serve as a judge for this year's Australian Photographic Prize.

Congratulations to everyone who has entered. Putting your work forward for review takes courage and a willingness to challenge yourself. Every image submitted represents not only a finished photograph, but also the time, thought, persistence, and creative curiosity behind it.

Entering is just one step along a long and continuous creative path, and an opportunity to learn, grow, reflect, and continue refining your craft.

There is no single way of seeing the world, and I look forward to experiencing the breadth of creativity, skill, and personal expression that makes the judging process such a rewarding one.

Doing a happy dance!

I've now completed the upgrade of my UV exposure unit, and so pleased my re-wiring skills with the old enlarger timer haven't caused any short circuits.

Now that the winter sun is creeping in, I can't wait to start testing with it.

Thanks again to Men's Shed Tauranga for the modifications to the LED plate drawer, and InkjetMall for the LED exposure plate.
