How cute are these kids?! They brought their little sister Gemma along for some photos to celebrate her turning one. We had a bit of fun outside on the farm then headed into the studio for a cake smash & splash. Despite it being a cold morning the kids were amazing and little Gemma loved all the extra attention, and especially loved that warm bubble bath at the end!

Ok I have to admit I had no idea how Roller Derby was even played. I thought there was a ball somewhere on the court......

Ok I have to admit I had no idea how Roller Derby was even played. I thought there was a ball somewhere on the court...no there's not. It's a hard core, full contact team sport played on roller skates so you've got be tough, fit and co-ordinated to play! Layla Robinson is a bit of a legend when it comes to Roller Derby. She has competed in Austria representing NZ in the Roller Derby World Cup, is involved in coaching and captaining the Sulpur City Steam Rollers & she's competing in the Oceania Regional competition next week. She needed some new headshots so we had a bit of fun creating these (nothing like a KMart clothes steamer to create some steam! 🤣).
Good luck Layla - hope the competition goes well next week! Also, if anyone wants to check out Slam Rock on 4th July at the Sportsdrome, make sure you get your tickets, they're selling out fast!
