Nadia with Chair: more images of Nadia from David Rowe's Ruapuke shoot in April. There’s something very cool about using a beach as a backdrop. The chair was one of Dave’s props - such a great idea and I’ve taken one myself on shoots since. Thanks very much to model Nadia - I love the way these have turned out!

Last weekend I went to the Te Awa Light Night at Ngāruawāhia and had some fun photographing the fire dancers from Embers Entertainment. It was a bit of an experiment as I'm still figuring out how best to photograph this kind of activity. I had some off camera flash so I tried some straight forward shots, and I also tried some longer exposures to get light trails. Results were mixed but there were some interesting results - here's a few samples. So now I'll have a think about those and see about trying again. Thanks very much to Bailee and her team for putting up with me!
