Kas came to us last minute with one very important mission: to create a little magic for his wonderful partner, Alkie. - and magical it was!

He chose a beautiful afternoon, we found a place that felt just right, and then came the moment he had been planning for.

Alkie’s surprise. Her beautiful smile. The way these two looked at each other afterwards.

Absolute magic.

For us the best part came when they thanked us afterwards and Alkie told us that the place Kas had chosen for their proposal was exactly what she had imagined and dreamed of being proposed at.

Kas, you absolutely nailed it.

We feel pretty lucky that we got to quietly help bring this little secret plan to life, but even luckier that we got to witness the moment these two went from “I have a secret” to “we’re engaged!”

And because this was a last-minute adventure, it was a lovely reminder that sometimes you don’t need months and months of planning. You just need the right person, a beautiful place, and a little bit of trust that the magic will come together.

Congratulations, Kas & Alkie. Your next chapter is going to be a good one. 🤍

And Alkie, that smile? We’re going to remember that one for a while.

From COVID-era dating app matches and a first Malatang date, to becoming each other’s best friend, confidant and adventure partner. ❤️

Hansel brought Jaslyn to New Zealand thinking they were heading out for a lifestyle photoshoot... but there was a much bigger adventure waiting.
A little misdirection, an incredible landscape, and one very important question later, Jaslyn said yes.
