Had an amazing time at the Waikato Baby Expo!

So grateful for NZ Baby Expos for thinking of me when there was a cancelation for this stand! It was so lovely connecting with clients, new, current and even some from nearly 5 years ago up north! Thank you for stopping by and saying hello 👋 😊

One of the things I absolutely love about my job is seeing all the beautiful babies grow up and it feels so special to play a part in preserving those special memories! I look forward to capturing many more! For those wondering, I will be drawing the giveaway later this week so keep an eye on your phone and email as I will send details of that soon!

Huge thanks to Imageland who busted out some urgent printing for me, so grateful for the incredible team there that helped bring my stands vision to life!

Winter magic with Richelle ✨

I was so excited when I stumbled across this little hidden gem of a location this week. Finding flowers in full bloom during winter is such a rare treat, but these beautiful pink blossoms had just opened and created the dreamiest backdrop for Richelle's maternity session.

There’s something so special about the contrast of soft florals against the richness of winter, and paired with this gorgeous gown, it felt like stepping into a fairytale.

Pregnancy is a season of waiting, growth, and anticipation, and I love finding ways to capture that beauty in a way that feels timeless and unique.

Some seasons of life feel endless while you're living them. The waiting, the wondering, the anticipation of who this little person will be.

And then one day, the pregnancy is over, your baby is in your arms, and these moments become memories.

I photographed Stacey's maternity session at Hamilton Gardens, surrounded by beautiful brick archways and soft winter light, creating timeless images that celebrate this incredible chapter before everything changes. Beautiful Aaryahi was an absolute dream for her newborn session. Nestled so peacefully in her little wooden bucket, cuddling her tiny teddy bear, she looked like she had stepped straight out of a fairytale. Her delicate floral crown, soft features, and the sweetest sleepy expressions made every image feel like pure magic.

These early days pass in the blink of an eye. The tiny fingers, button nose, wispy hair, and curled-up newborn poses change so quickly. Capturing these precious details means you'll always have a way to remember just how little they once were.

There is something so special about creating timeless newborn portraits that families can treasure for generations to come. 💜

Tiny fingers wrapped around her little bunny, soft florals surrounding her, and the sweetest peaceful expression. Baby Suhavi was an absolute dream for her newborn session 🌸

And can we take a moment for her thick, luscious hair and those incredibly long eyelashes?!

There is something so special about capturing these fleeting early days. The delicate features, the sleepy cuddles, the way they fit so perfectly into your arms for such a short time. These moments change far too quickly, and photographs become the memories you can hold onto forever.

Suhavi looked like a little spring fairy in her floral crown and soft blush wrap, and I am completely in love with how gentle and timeless these images feel.

Before baby arrives, there is this beautiful season of anticipation. A time filled with excitement, wonder, and a love that grows stronger with every passing day. 🤍

That is why maternity photography is so much more than documenting a baby bump. It is about preserving the connection between two people as they prepare to welcome a new chapter into their lives. It is about remembering how this moment felt.

Diane & Nikhil absolutely embraced this session, surrounded by the rich autumn colours and the excitement of meeting their little one soon. These images capture not only this special stage of pregnancy, but also the love and connection that already exists within their growing family.

I also love that Diane chose to wear her own beautiful wardrobe for the session. It complemented the setting perfectly and added a personal touch to their photographs. While I have a collection of stunning maternity gowns available for clients to use, I always encourage mums-to-be to wear what feels good to them.

Years from now, these photographs will be a reminder of the journey that brought their baby into the world, and that is the true value of maternity photography. ✨
