Even winter family sessions can be golden!!🌞

Kate and her lovely crew wanted golden light, beautiful views and to include a few shots with the puppy dog. Well, ✅✅✅, I think we got all that and more - happy smiley faces, natural interactions and candid moments galore.

Oh my goodness! So much to share from my winter shoots, and I'm really not keeping up with it at all! So, I'm kicking off with a session that I do each winter, with the lovely Kate Spurling and her family, for the birthday of Indi!

Each year it's a different location, and each year I wonder at the growth and change of this gorgeous little girl! But there is always one constant - a loving family, full of adventure, that clearly enjoy each other's company.

It's been a pleasure getting to know them over these years. 💛

I can fit in 2 more before the end of August!

Today may be raining, but we've had some glorious weather over the past few weeks, and it's due to return on Saturday!

So here we are… an impromptu “this is me” post.

The photo is a selfie, because sometimes the only model you’ve got to test your gear on is yourself! But I guess it makes a half-decent headshot, and it feels very apt given that one of my biggest passions is getting your photos off your phone and onto your walls, where they can actually be seen and enjoyed.

Yes, I’ve cut my feet off because I had very dodgy socks on, and I’m looking a little tired — but hey, that’s okay. I look like me (if a little unusually serious), and that’s good enough.

And I know that in 10 years’ time I’ll probably look back at this photo and think, “Wow, I looked so good back then,” even if that’s not necessarily what I’m thinking right now!

So, a little about me…

I’m a mother, wife, friend, yogi, music lover, walker and happy camper. I’m down-to-earth and friendly, and I know how to pose and prompt you so you don’t have to worry about knowing what to do in front of the camera.

If you’re willing to trust me, I’ll help you get the very best from your session.

I genuinely love what I do, and I especially love the joy that photographs can bring people — not just now, but for years to come.

I’ve had such an incredible and fun time over last week, but, yeah, not entering was a dumb decision!

I missed out on all that growth and learning by not entering, and, to be honest, I freaking love that emotional roller coaster ride. Makes you feel alive putting your heart out on a plate (or a print, in this case). 😉
