In Kyrgyzstan, bread is more than just food. It is a staple in everyday life, found on family tables and shared at almost every meal.

Known locally as nan, bread holds a special place in Kyrgyz culture. Whether served with tea in the morning, shared with guests, or enjoyed alongside a home-cooked meal, it is a familiar part of daily life.

Traditionally baked in a tandyr, a clay oven that gives the bread its distinctive texture and golden crust, each loaf reflects the skill and care of the person who makes it.

From the patterns pressed into the dough to the warmth of a freshly baked loaf, bread carries a sense of home, hospitality, and belonging.

In Kyrgyzstan, it is a simple reminder that some of the most meaningful parts of a culture are found in the food families share every day.

Moving to New Zealand's South Island opened many doors ..
Suddenly, weekends became less about making plans... and more about stepping outside.
A short drive could take us to snow-covered mountains, rugged coastlines, quiet hiking trails, and landscapes that still leave us speechless.
We've learned that adventure doesn't always have to be grand. Sometimes it's as simple as putting on a jacket, grabbing the camera, and seeing where the road leads.
The South Island has reminded us why we fell in love with the outdoors in the first place.
We've realized that adventure isn't always about the destination. Sometimes, it's simply about going.

They don’t warn you about the specific kind of nostalgia that comes with moving away. You’re constantly straddling two worlds: the place that raised you, and the place you’re trying to build.

Whether you moved across the state or across the world, alone or with your person... pat yourself on the back today. You did that. And you’re doing great.

There is a quiet kind of beauty that often goes unnoticed.
During my time with the Himba community in Northwestern Namibia, I found myself drawn not to the extraordinary, but to the ordinary. The conversations, the laughter of children, the stillness, and the moments in between.
I've gathered a small collection of these photographs into a visual booklet called The Beauty of Everyday. It's not a complete story, just twenty-one pages of quiet moments I was fortunate enough to witness.
If you'd like to have a look, you can browse the book on my website.
Link in my bio. I hope you'll enjoy this small glimpse into the beauty of everyday life.

Perhaps that is why we keep traveling.
Not to escape life, not to find ourselves but to be reminded, again and again, how precious it is to be here.
To witness this world. To love the souls we meet along the way.
And to leave each journey with a heart a little softer, a little wiser, and a little more grateful than before...

The Greatest Love Story of Life and Death
(read through the slides)

And perhaps the greatest love story ever told is not between two people, but between Life and Death themselves. One spends a lifetime teaching us how to love. The other spends an eternity showing us how much we did.

Good girl, Chichi, Good girl..

In a world that taught us to be careful all the time, Chichi chose trust. In a world that could be unkind, she remained kind. And that is how we will remember her.

We will miss all your quirks Chichi. We will miss the many times we called you out whenever you chewed on our things, and the way you stood at the door with those hopeful eyes, asking to go outside. Home will not be the same without us calling your name throughout the day..

Thank you Chichi for all the love..

A new story is now live on my website - "Reflection from a Tuktuk"

Some places do not stay with you because of their landmarks. They stay because of the small moments that passed in front of you and somehow never really left. A man pedalling more than his body should carry. A fruit stall glowing underthe sun. A street full of noise, wires, dust, movement, and yet still filled with a kind of quiet dignity that is hard to explain unless you have seen it up close.

This story was born from that kind of seeing. From inside a tuktuk, the world feels closer. There is no real distance between you and the life unfolding outside. You do not just pass through a place. You feel its breath, its weight , its flow. Its tiredness. Its ability to endure.

“A tuktuk does not allow distance. It opens you to the street, to its breath, its noise, its contradictions.”

What stayed with me was not only the motion of the roads, but the lives moving within them. The ordinary work. The patience. The way people keep going, even when the streets are narrow, the loads are heavy, and the day asks so much from them.

“You do not observe the urban environment. You enter it.”

I think that is what this piece is really about. Not just a ride, not just a place, but the kind of witnessing that travel sometimes gives us when we are quiet enough to receive it. The kind that reminds us that places are not made only of buildings and roads, but of people carrying stories we may never fully know.

“A place is not defined by its landmarks. It is defined by the moments that are almost invisible unless you choose to see them.”

My new story, Reflection from a Tuktuk, is now up on my website. (Link on my profile).

If it finds its way to you, I hope you will have a read. And if there is a line that stays, or a feeling that follows you after, I would love to know. Sometimes what we carry alone becomes gentler when another heart understands.
