2018年6月アメリカワシントンDC🇺🇸に仕事で行くことなったが、どうしてもアンカレッジに行ってみたかったので、帰りは日本直行便ではなくシアトル乗り継ぎにした。
そして、こっそりSeattle空港からアンカレッジ空港往復を。
アラスカ航空AS99便でアンカレッジ22時04分着。アンカレッジ翌日23時52分発アラスカ航空AS94便でシアトルへ帰るという強行スケジュール。滞在時間はおよそ24時間という過酷な遠征撮影となった。
アンカレッジは、北極圏に近いので、この日、日没は23時31分、日の出が4時27分と、夜も完全に暗くならない白夜に近い状態。
アンカレッジについてから、閉店間際のレンタカー店で車を借り、Motel 6にチェックイン。３時間程度で夜明けなので、おちおち寝てられなかった。寝たかどうかは記憶にない(笑)がすぐに、撮影へ出発することになった。
私はあまり天気の運を持ち合わせていないのを自覚している。夜明け頃は雨が降っていていたが、滞在時間は２４時間もないので空港へ向かった。
アンカレッジ空港は大きい空港にもかかわらず、周囲は非常に撮影環境が良い。
フェンスを越える小山がいたるところにあるので、そこから空港を見渡してみた。
In June 2018, I was going to Washington, D.C. for work, but I really wanted to go to Anchorage, so I decided to transfer to Seattle instead of a direct flight to Japan.
And then, secretly, I made a round trip from Seattle Airport to Anchorage Airport.
Arrived at Anchorage at 10:04 PM on Alaska Airlines flight AS99. A grueling schedule, with Alaska Airlines flight AS94 departing from Anchorage at 11:52 PM, to Seattle. The expedition was a grueling 24 hours long.
Anchorage is located near the Arctic Circle, so the sunset is at 11:31 PM and the sunrise is at 4:27 AM, where it doesn't completely dark at night.
After arriving at Anchorage, I rented a car in a rental car just before closing time and checked into Motel 6. It was only about three hours before dawn, so I couldn't sleep soundly. I don't remember if I slept (lol), but I immediately decided to leave for the shoot.
I'm aware that I don't have much luck with the weather. It was raining around dawn, but I had only a 24-hour stay, so I headed to the airport.
Despite being a large airport, Anchorage Airport has a very good filming environment around it.
I looked out over the airport from various points, as there were hills crossing the fence everywhere.
