September is here, yet summer still lingers in the light, on café terraces and along the riverbanks.

One of the things I love about being self-employed is that I get to acknowledge the rhythm of the season without feeling obliged to follow it. Work resumes, of course. But so do long walks, late sunsets and those little moments that make the days feel fuller.
Holding on to summer for just a little longer.

Places with soul.
Some places leave an impression long after you've left. Not because they're perfect, but because they feel deeply lived in, loved and looked after.

Provence and Calabria, summer 2026.

Marrakech though my lense. A few moments collected over time; somehow, they hold things I love about this city. Marrakech has been part of my life for so long that I don't really feel the need to explain it anymore. I simply keep looking.

Five years ago, Sylvie Ganter invited me to join an adventure that was, at the time, nothing more than an idea.
That idea slowly became Superpouvoirs.

Over the years came hundreds of photographs, recipes imagined with Jelka Holler , portraits, still life, styling sessions, endless creative conversations, and photo shoots that took us from Paris to New York, Hossegor and beyond.

Most of the photographs were created specifically for the book. But what I find particularly moving is that some images already existed. They had been part of my own photographic journey for years, and they naturally found their place within these pages, as if they had been waiting for this story all along.

Looking through the finished book, I also smile at the familiar faces. Friends who quietly became part of the adventure without ever imagining they'd end up in its pages. I love that.

Watching a project evolve over five years is a rare privilege. Seeing it finally become something people can hold in their hands is even more special.

This is the kind of project every photographer dreams of.

Not simply because it results in a beautiful book, but because you're invited to build a visual world from the very beginning, to watch it grow over time, and to become part of its story.

Congratulations, dear Sylvie Ganter. Thank you for your trust, your friendship, and for this extraordinary journey. I'm so proud to have created the photographs that now live within these pages.

Superpouvoirs is now available in bookstores and via the link in my profile.

There must be something incredibly fulfilling about creating the place you've always dreamed of.
Farasha Farasha Farmhouse feels exactly like that. Every detail seems intentional, every material chosen with care, every corner carrying the same quiet vision. Nothing feels arbitrary.
Just outside Marrakech, surrounded by olive trees, it is one of those places that doesn't try to impress. It simply knows what it is. And that's often what makes a place unforgettable.

As a photographer, I spend my life stepping into other people's dreams. Homes, hotels, restaurants, books, brands... each one begins as an idea in someone's mind before becoming something tangible.

I've come to realize that the places I'm drawn to are never random. They always hold something that speaks to me. Photographing other people's dreams has become one of my own.

I've always had a thing for the sun.
I was born at the end of July, during one of those scorching summers. Fifty years later, I stepped into a new decade in another exceptionally hot one. Not exactly something to celebrate in itself, let's face it, but somehow the symbolism wasn't lost on me.
Looking back, so many things suddenly seem connected. My love for yellow. My instinctive attraction to warmth, light and joyful places. Even my Moroccan nickname, Choumissa : "little sun." I've never been particularly interested in being "in" the spotlight, but I've always been drawn to what radiates good energy, whether it's a person, a place, an idea or simply a way of moving through life.
This summer has felt like a quiet turning point. I returned to Stromboli. I returned to Hydra exactly thirty years after discovering it for my twentieth birthday, this time celebrating my daughter's twentieth while quietly marking my own milestone. A few days earlier, I had gathered dear friends for a "Hotter Than July" celebration that felt like the most joyful way to welcome this new chapter.
Back in January, I made a vision board. Not because I believe the universe magically grants wishes, but because I believe clarity changes the way we move through life. Looking at it today, I'm struck by how much has gently unfolded over these past months. The photographs, the book, the retreats, the journeys, the conversations, the people... None of it feels accidental.
I've come to believe that joy has a quiet kind of power. It sharpens our vision, gives us the courage to say yes, attracts the right people and gently nudges us towards the life that already feels true. The clearer the vision, the easier it becomes to recognise the doors worth opening.
Turning fifty doesn't feel like reaching the finish line. It feels more like arriving at the top of a mountain, looking back with gratitude and suddenly realising that the horizon ahead is even more exciting than the climb behind.
So I'm writing this from the heart of summer with a warm heart and a deep sense of gratitude.
Thank you for being here, for following my work, my travels, my photographs, my books and all the ideas that keep taking shape☀️

Walking into MÖ-MÖ Restaurant in Marrakech felt like stepping inside someone's joyful imagination.
Designed by architect Yann Dobry Yann Dobry. , every surface seems to celebrate colour. Pink meets ochre, mint, coral, turquoise... nothing is timid, yet everything somehow belongs together. It shouldn't work. It absolutely does.

In a world that often mistakes minimalism for elegance, places like this remind me that generosity can be beautiful too.

Colour isn't decoration. It's emotion.

The chapel of Ginostra opens straight onto the sea. The view is breathtaking, the marble stays wonderfully cool, and the resident cat seems to have claimed the role of guardian. I don't think anyone is arguing with him. I didn't see anyone else, so I assume he's in charge...

I had been looking forward to coming back to Ginostra.
Tucked away on the other side of Stromboli, this tiny village is home to barely forty people all year round. There are no roads, no cars, and very few reasons to come here unless you're looking for exactly that.
I wanted to return for this view over Panarea, for the whitewashed houses catching the last light, for the silence that settles in almost unnoticed. It's one of those rare places that gently recalibrates your sense of time.

Every visit reminds me that beauty doesn't need much. Sometimes all it takes is a small village, an endless horizon and the feeling that, for a little while, nowhere else matters.

Estate a Stromboli 🇮🇹
No matter where I look, my eyes seem to find Strombolicchio.
The tiny volcanic sea stack, older than Stromboli itself, has a way of quietly pulling your gaze.
Different frames. Same horizon.
