Yesterday was International Transgender Day Of Visibility. And I'll be honest, I was in doubt about posting some of these iconic faces I had the pleasure of working with because let's face it, for most trans people it isn't safe to be visible. It is a scary and exhausting time to be trans. So I'm a day late because I'm an overthinker, but I do really want to give them their flowers. Not just the people in this post but every trans person. The people I had the pleasure of photographing are just a small percentage of the incredible trans people that are in my life in some way.
I will always cherish, love and protect trans people. And I will always call you a gross weirdo loser if you don't respect their existence. Trans people are not a concept or a debate. They aren't a threat. They are humans just trying to live their life. To every trans person reading this, I wish you nothing but love, peace, good medical care, understanding, strong allies, resilience and JOY on your journey to live your truth to the fullest, and I will always stand by you, raise my voice and protect you against the powers that try to erase and villainize you.
