I’ve always liked to leave a little of the environment in my wildlife images. Even when I’m working tight on a subject, the surrounding habitat helps tell the story. It might not be everyone’s style, but it’s one I’ve always enjoyed.

Back on the Saltee Islands again this year, I had a particular image in mind and was hoping the conditions would come together.

As golden hour approached, the Atlantic Puffins moved away from the cliff edge and up onto the higher ground to soak up the last warmth and light of the evening before returning to their burrows. Surrounded by vibrant sea pinks that almost looked unreal in their intensity, I was delighted to capture this special moment.

A wonderful privilege to spend time with these charismatic birds once again in one of Ireland’s most magical places.

A young male Peregrine Falcon has recently taken up residence at one of my favourite birding spots. Always a thrill to watch the world's fastest bird settling into the cliffs, and hopefully the start of many memorable encounters with this stunning hunter.

A real treat for Irish birders. Red-footed Falcons are scarce passage migrants in Ireland, making every sighting special. This beautiful bird appeared near the Cooley Mountains, Dundalk, a couple of days ago, and was found by Fergal Stanley. Moments like these are a reminder that migration always holds surprises. 🦅

A couple of days in Spain doing a bit of birding and photography, and ended up with a really special experience. Even though the lynx hides were closed, I was privileged to be invited up for a quiet visit on my own and got to spend some proper close time with these amazing cats. One of those moments you don’t forget in a hurry.
