I’ve been capturing newborns for over 6 years.

Because the truth is... it’s not easy.
Not without a method. Not without experience.

There is such a deep responsibility in this work.
A balance of safety, skill, and energy that either creates a calm, beautiful experience... or it doesn’t.

Handling a baby is a privilege.
And it matters that your baby is not only safe, but truly respected during their session.

This is something I live and breathe in every newborn shoot with so much passion.

Because every baby deserves images that reflect not just how they looked in those early days, but how deeply they were adored.

Not only by their parents,
but by everyone lucky enough to be in their presence.

It’s a session that marks a beginning.
Hope. Celebration. Love.

When families walk into a newborn session, they rarely arrive feeling calm.

They come in carrying questions.

Will the baby settle?
What if today is one of the hard days?
Will my toddler cooperate... or want absolutely nothing to do with this new little person we’ve brought home?
And somewhere between the sleepless nights and the overwhelm, many quietly wonder why they even booked a session at all.

But beneath all of those feelings is one thing every family has in common:

These photographs matter deeply to them.

They’ve chosen to pause during one of life’s biggest transitions, not because life feels easy right now, but because they know how fleeting this season is. They want to remember who they were in this moment. Who their family became.

By the time they leave, something shifts.

The worries soften.
Toddlers engage.
The baby settles.
And suddenly everyone is simply present, standing still long enough to take in what they’ve created together.

A family.

A moment that, at home, can feel impossible to slow down and truly see.

Photographing newborns has brought me so much joy over the past 7 years. I photograph babies the way I wished to remember my own gently, safely, calmly, and with deep respect for how precious these early days are.

As a mum, and now as an educator teaching others newborn photography, care and safety will always be at the heart of what I do.

Because nothing matters more than parents leaving feeling their baby, and their memories, were in the best hands.

l’m opening a small number of newborn spots again.

You don’t realise it at the time just how quickly these first few months pass 🤍

The quiet days at home, dad pottering around in the background, baby curled up asleep for what feels like hours and then suddenly, it’s gone in the blink of an eye.

Hearing a Mam say she knows she’ll always look back on these memories is exactly why I do what I do.

I truly love capturing this stage as it is soft, slow and beautifully ordinary. The kind of moments that don’t feel like much at the time, but end up meaning everything later on.
Because one day, these will be the memories you wish you could step back into, just for a moment ✨🥰

Preparing for your session should feel simple and stress-free 🤍

I know how much there already is to think about in those early days, so I guide you through everything beforehand from what to wear and to how to arrive feeling relaxed and ready.

Soft, neutral tones, comfortable pieces, nothing overcomplicated just choices that photograph beautifully and feel like you 🫶🏼

I’ll also always suggest feeding baby about an hour before your session so they arrive sleepy, settled and completely content (that milk-drunk stage we all love 🤍).

It’s all about creating the calmest start possible, so when you walk through the door, you can just exhale and I’ll take care of the rest ✨🥰
